The pendant light features a clear lens with a Lambertian (short Type V) distribution that delivers soft, even illumination. It is dimmable and available in two suspension styles: a vertically adjustable 18/3 SOOW cord, which can be cut to length in the field, or a fixed 16-gauge steel rigid stem, both mounting to a junction box (by others) via a ceiling plate and gasket. The fixture is sealed with a UV-stable, impact-modified diffused acrylic lens that mates precisely with the round cast aluminum luminaire housing. A cast aluminum lid, secured by three socket head set screws, and magni-coated hardware complete the durable construction.
Inside, the Motive Pendant is equipped with a surge-protected electronic driver compatible with 120V to 277V input at 50/60 Hz. It supports both leading-edge and trailing-edge phase-cut dimming and operates reliably in extreme conditions, with a starting temperature down to -40°C. The fixture ships prewired for quick installation.
At its core, a cast aluminum light cartridge houses high-powered LEDs mounted to a RoHS-compliant circuit board. This cartridge is replaceable, allowing for ease of maintenance and long-term serviceability. The Motive Pendant Light is available in a range of color temperatures—2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K—all with a CRI of over 80, ensuring accurate color rendering and a high-quality lighting experience.
