The Worker Round Wall luminaire combines functional lighting with a decorative design, offering a downward-facing light that enhances the fixture’s visual appeal while providing pleasant illumination. Its fairly enclosed, archetypal form gives it a timeless character, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Joel Karlsson describes Worker as “a wide line of luminaires with the latest LED technology” and envisions its use in diverse environments moving forward. The industrial-inspired design is well-suited for hotels, bistros, offices, and even culturally significant or historical settings.
Designed with both ceiling and wall mounting in mind, Worker features its own custom-designed light engine, housed in cast aluminium, with a spun aluminium shade available in two sizes: Ø400 mm and Ø600 mm. The installation is straightforward—three screws for the smaller size and four for the larger one—while the snap-in terminal block allows for a clean and efficient fixed connection. Two inlet holes support through-wiring, and surface-mounted cabling is also possible with 180° flexibility.
The luminaire is offered in six standard colours, and an extended palette is also available for a modest surcharge. This additional range of colours has been developed in collaboration with interior design architects and stylists, ensuring aesthetic versatility regardless of the order size. Enhancing the design, a bayonet-mounted clear acrylic frame allows light to softly glow between the ceiling and the luminaire. The diffuser options include opal acrylic glass or a microprismatic acrylic glass combined with a frosted film, each contributing to glare control and visual comfort.
Worker comes equipped with integrated LED light sources in either 3000K or 4000K colour temperature, with options for CRI 80 as standard or CRI 90 upon request. The Ø400 model boasts a lifespan of L100B50 at 50,000 hours, while the Ø600 version offers L100B20 at 50,000 hours. The luminaire includes a DSI/DALI driver that ensures flicker-free dimming from 1–100% using amplitude modulation. Light settings remain unchanged even after a power outage. It also supports SwitchDim and CorridorFunction. A pre-programmed Constant Light Output (CLO) function maintains consistent lighting levels over time, and the DALI driver can function as an On/Off version, allowing for system upgrades later. The driver itself has a lifespan of 80,000 hours.
Energy classification varies by size and configuration. Worker 400 with CRI 830 is rated Class E, while CRI 840 earns a Class D rating. The larger Worker 600 achieves Class D for both CRI 830 and 840. The fixture is lightweight and manageable, with the Ø400 model weighing 2.3 kg and the Ø600 model at 4.6 kg.
Both sizes are available in two luminaire power options. Additional features, such as a presence detector, can be included on request, further enhancing the luminaire’s versatility and adaptability to various project needs.
