For added versatility, an indirect lighting option is offered with either a clear or opal diffuser, allowing designers to tailor the fixture’s ambiance to the space. The fixture is available in three neutral finishes—White, Black, and Silver Metallic—as well as two warm wood grain finishes, Light Cherry and Dark Walnut, providing a variety of aesthetic options to complement different interior designs. Color temperature choices include three white light settings, alongside monochromatic options in red, green, and blue. To support modern building infrastructure, Macro Cross integrates seamlessly with data networks through Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity.
Constructed with a combination of steel and aluminum for durability and strength, the fixture features a polyester powder-coated finish. The canopy matches the fixture finish except in cases of wood grain finishes, where it is supplied in white for a cleaner look. Power is delivered through a silver braided cable, which adds a refined detail to the overall design. The lighting system is powered by integral high power factor (HPF) electronic drivers compatible with 120–277V in North America and 240V in the EU. These drivers are housed within the fixture itself to maintain a streamlined appearance.
For safety and reliability, Macro Cross offers an integral emergency lighting option that provides 1.5 hours of backup (3 hours for the EU). This self-contained system includes an inverter module, NiCad batteries, an LED charge indicator, and a test switch (North America only), though it is not available with 347V supply. The fixture is suspended from the ceiling with stainless steel cables, and the recommended minimum suspension height is 12 inches (305mm) for white LEDs and 24 inches (610mm) for colored LEDs, specifically for the direct/indirect light configuration.
The diffuser is made of opal polycarbonate and is supplied in sections to facilitate installation and maintenance. Mechanically, the luminaire mounts directly over a standard junction box (provided by others in North America). Performance-wise, delivered lumens and efficacy are based on 4000K white LEDs with a minimum CRI of 80, ensuring high-quality illumination.
