Designed to replace up to 175W HID fixtures, it provides significant energy and maintenance savings over time. The luminaire is available in 3000K, 4000K, and 5700K CCT options with a minimum 70 CRI, and finish color choices include black, bronze, silver, and white, all treated with Cree Lighting’s exclusive Colorfast DeltaGuard® finish for long-lasting resistance to corrosion, UV degradation, and abrasion.
Constructed from rugged die-cast aluminum with an integrated, weathertight LED driver compartment and a high-performance heat sink, the VG Series is built to perform reliably in demanding environments. The fixture’s optical system features indirect LED arrays with a precision-engineered lens and optional internal white or specular reflectors that provide either Type V Medium or Type V Wide light distribution. Additionally, it delivers 20% uplight for increased ambient illumination in structured environments.
The VG Series supports multiple mounting configurations to meet diverse installation needs. The direct mount includes a factory-installed 3-foot power cord and mounting bracket for attachment to any appropriate surface. The J-box mount is compatible with standard 4-inch electrical boxes, and the pendant mount features extended wiring and is designed for installation via a ¾-inch IP pendant. Regardless of the configuration, installation is fast and hassle-free.
Electrically, the VG Series supports input voltages of 120-277V, 347V, or 480V at 50/60Hz and delivers a power factor greater than 0.9 and total harmonic distortion under 20% at full load. It comes standard with 6kV surge suppression protection and 0-10V dimming capabilities, supporting smooth integration with external control systems. The luminaire operates effectively in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +40°C (-40°F to +104°F).
The VG Series is cULus Listed, IP66-rated (with JB or PD mounts), and suitable for wet locations. It meets FCC Part 15, Subpart B, Class A standards for conducted and radiated emissions and complies with ANSI C136.2 surge protection requirements. Some configurations are BAA and BABA compliant and RoHS compliant. Bluetooth®-enabled multi-level sensor options and Zhaga® socket compatibility further extend the VG Series’ capabilities for intelligent lighting control.
