THE EDGE® Series Transportation Mount from Cree Lighting is purpose-built for high-vibration environments such as bridges, roadways, overpasses, tunnels, and underpasses. The luminaire delivers between 1,548 and 33,946 lumens with input power ranging from 35 to 263 watts, achieving excellent efficacy in demanding infrastructure applications. Multiple color rendering index (CRI) options—70, 80, and 90—are available, as well as a broad selection of correlated color temperatures (CCTs), including 3000K, 4000K, 5000K, 5700K, and turtle-friendly amber, ensuring the right light for both visibility and environmental compliance. The fixture supports 0-10V dimming for energy savings and lighting control. It is IP66 rated, cULus Listed for wet locations, and meets FCC Part 15, Subpart B, Class A for emissions.
Constructed with rugged extruded and die-cast aluminum and stamped metal components, the EDGE TSP is built to last. The LED driver is sealed within the extruded aluminum side of the housing for weather resistance, and high-performance heatsinks are integrated to optimize thermal management. Non-painted, heavy-gauge stainless steel mounting brackets provide solid support for a variety of mounting scenarios. The DM mount is designed for direct mounting to solid surfaces, while the CM mount supports catenary cable installations with adjustable clamps to accommodate cable diameters between 0.5" and 1". Pendant mounting options (PD1 and PD2) use a welded stainless steel coupling to support 1.25" or 1.5" NPSM pendants.
Each luminaire is protected with Cree’s exclusive Colorfast DeltaGuard® finish, featuring an E-Coat epoxy primer and ultra-durable powder topcoat that resists corrosion, UV degradation, and abrasion. Available in black, bronze, silver, and white, this finish extends the life and appearance of the fixture, even in coastal or industrial settings. The fixture also includes an external wet-location junction box for field wiring on CM and DM mounts. Weight varies by model and can be referenced in the detailed dimension charts.
The electrical system supports 120-277V or 347-480V input at 50/60Hz with Class 1 drivers. Power factor exceeds 0.9 at full load, and total harmonic distortion remains under 20%. The fixture includes integral 10kV/5kA surge suppression protection, complying with ANSI C136.2 and IEEE/ANSI C62.41.2 testing standards. When required by code, compatible slow-blow fuses or type C/D breakers should be used to address inrush current.
Regulatory and performance testing further solidify the reliability of the EDGE TSP. It is RoHS compliant and has passed 5,000 hours of elevated ambient salt fog testing in accordance with ASTM Standard B 117, making it ideal for coastal applications. The IP66 enclosure ensures durability in wet and harsh conditions, and some models may comply with Buy American Act (BAA) and Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements.
