Designed for new construction or renovation applications, the LS Series delivers up to 135 lumens per watt and offers a broad range of lumen packages, CCTs, CRI options, and control configurations. Available in both 4' and 8' lengths, these luminaires provide light output from 3,400 to 12,000 lumens while operating between 31 and 92 watts. With up to 90+ CRI and color temperatures including 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K, the LS Series ensures flexible, high-quality illumination in a slim, compact profile less than 3 inches deep.
The LS Series features a sleek design with square or round acrylic lenses that provide fully diffused end-to-end light, delivering the seamless aesthetic typically associated with more premium fixtures. It is available in Lambertian, aisle, and asymmetric optical distributions to meet varied lighting needs. The luminaires support multiple mounting methods—surface, pendant, suspended, or cove—and allow for both individual and continuous row installations. Cosmetic polycarbonate end caps and post-painted steel construction contribute to the LS Series’ modern and durable finish.
Engineered for seamless integration into smart building environments, the LS Series supports a wide range of control options including 0-10V dimming down to 5%, Cree’s SmartCast® Wireless Technology, and Lutron Athena systems, with certain configurations dimming to 1%. SmartCast luminaires include integral motion sensors, ambient light sensors, and 2.4GHz wireless mesh communication for intelligent lighting control and significant energy savings. Sensors perform daylight harvesting and occupancy detection with automatic calibration via OneButton™ setup. For added functionality, SmartCast-enabled luminaires maintain settings with 10-year power-fail memory and offer energy metering with 4% accuracy.
Built from 22-gauge steel and featuring a low-glare, diffused optical system, the LS Series achieves superior light distribution and uniformity. Its unique optical design reduces pixelation and color fringing while enhancing visual comfort and spatial perception. Uplight contributions include 10% for round lenses and 13% for square lenses, further enhancing ceiling aesthetics in open plenum environments.
Electrically, the LS Series operates on 120–277V or 120–347V input, with power factor above 0.9 and total harmonic distortion below 20%. It’s thermally rated for operation between -20°C and +40°C, with emergency battery options (EB1) rated for 0°C minimum. A QR code on the fixture provides digital access to installation instructions, part and serial numbers, warranty status, and support resources.
Regulatory compliance includes cULus listing to UL1598, IP20 ingress protection, RoHS certification, FCC Part 15 (Class A) standards for emissions, and DLC qualification for select models. LS luminaires are suitable for damp locations, indoor use only, and continuous row mounting with minimum 90°C supply conductors. Not intended for use in environments with airborne corrosive agents, the LS Series also meets UL924 requirements for emergency lighting when using EB1 and GT options.
