These kits eliminate the need for complex shop drawings and come in both imperial and metric options, making the design process faster and more flexible. With a minimalist 1.5" wide profile, Sculpt Surface introduces rhythm and movement to ceilings while maintaining a small footprint that leaves space for essential ceiling components like sprinklers, speakers, and air vents. Whether using standard lengths from 2 to 12 feet or custom continuous runs, Sculpt adds aesthetic and spatial clarity to architectural ceilings.
Comfort and visual performance are integral to Sculpt Surface. The system starts at a controlled luminance of 300 lumens per foot and allows designers to increase illumination simply by adding additional lines or forms to the lighting pattern. Illuminated corners and aesthetic hairline joints further enhance visual appeal, while the integrated MiniFlange and patent-pending T-Aligner™ ensure ceiling alignment and design cohesion. StepLens options in 0.5” or 2” heights provide additional dimension and sculptural depth to the lighting scheme.
The flexibility of Sculpt extends to its integrated control capabilities. Axis equips Sculpt with a suite of intelligent lighting control options including continuous dimming as standard, allowing for precise light layering and adaptive illumination. Multiple sensors and drivers can be employed across Sculpt linear and geometric ceiling kit installations to support energy efficiency and user-specific light zoning. Whether integrating occupancy or daylight sensors, Sculpt’s lighting systems respond dynamically to their environment, putting light where it's needed most.

With patent-pending technologies, Sculpt achieves clean ceilings, reduced fixture footprints, and elevated aesthetics without sacrificing performance. The ceiling kits are UL-listed and easy to specify, offering illuminated joints, StepLens compatibility, and support for integrated drivers and emergency battery packs.
Structurally, Sculpt Surface is built with extruded aluminum housings, die-cast aluminum end caps, die-formed steel interior brackets, and injection-molded extruded acrylic lenses. Suspension is handled via sliding aircraft cable and quick-connect cable grips, offering both reliability and ease of installation.
Driver and control options include Lutron’s Hi-lume 1% EcoSystem with Soft-on, Fade-to-Black; DALI (Type 6 and 8), DMX, Xitanium SR, and a variety of BIOS-enabled solutions. BIOS options range from static spectrum (STC) to dynamic SkyBlue® with Bio-Dimming™ and Tunable White configurations. Axis also supports PoE (Power over Ethernet) systems such as Molex, Igor, and Smartengine, with all electronics certified to UL2108 and available in input voltages including 120V, 277V, 347V, UNV, and DC.
Color quality is ensured with minimum CRI of 80 or 90, and BIOS-enhanced models with R9>75. Sculpt Surface offers a choice of 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K color temperatures with excellent consistency within a 3-step MacAdam ellipse, both within and across fixtures. LED life reaches a minimum of 50,000 hours with at least 85% lumen maintenance at 25°C ambient, backed by IES LM-80 compliance. An integrated thermal management system, enabled by the aluminum housing, extends product longevity.
To support long, uninterrupted runs, Sculpt features an advanced joining system for seamless integration of 4', 8', and 12' sections into extended systems exceeding 12 feet. These modular segments can be assembled on site, ensuring both design flexibility and installation ease. Special engineering attention has been given to the performance and alignment of joiners, allowing Sculpt Surface to deliver on both form and function at any scale.
