The Profile Bollard brings elegant, purposeful illumination to outdoor spaces through its refined and minimalist design. Designed to define boundaries and subtly light pathways or landscaping features, Profile Bollards offer both functional and aesthetic value to architectural environments. The family includes three bollard types: a performance lighting version, a wayfinding option featuring a grazing light within a recessed channel, and an unlit perimeter bollard. These options allow designers to unify site elements with consistent design language while tailoring light levels and placement to specific needs.
Developed as part of the broader Profile family—created in collaboration with lighting designer Linnaea Tillett and Tillett Lighting Design Associates—the bollards echo the line’s sculptural I-beam form and modular versatility. This design creates a visual interplay between light, shadow, and form, adding artistic expression to utility. Each bollard can be specified in a variety of finishes using the proprietary Pangard II® polyester powdercoat system, which is HAPS, VOC, and lead-free, delivering both environmental compliance and long-term durability.
Constructed with a one-piece welded housing made from hollow extruded aluminum in an ‘H’ section profile, the bollards feature machined aluminum top and base plates, and a cast aluminum base plate cover with hidden fasteners for a clean, streamlined look. The electrical system supports 120V through 277V with a surge-protected, phase-cut dimmable driver rated for operation down to -40°C. A weather-tight driver compartment is integrated into the base for easy maintenance access.
Lighting performance is driven by replaceable LED cartridges. The performance bollard uses a die-cast aluminum body with high-power LEDs mounted to RoHS-compliant circuit boards and is protected by a sealed, impact-resistant diffuse acrylic lens. The wayfinding bollard incorporates a similar LED cartridge but adds secondary optics and an injection-molded cutoff baffle behind a clear acrylic lens to shape and direct the light through the bollard’s recessed channel. Both lighting types are available in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K color temperatures with CRI values greater than 80, ensuring high-quality, visually comfortable illumination for pedestrian and landscape environments.
