The HEAD LED is designed to illuminate the very core of machine operation—the working area—with exceptional clarity and efficiency. As Waldmann's smallest luminaire to date, it was engineered to fit effortlessly into tight tool zones where space is limited but bright, focused lighting is essential. Despite its compact dimensions, the HEAD LED delivers powerful illumination thanks to precision optics that concentrate the output of its high-power LED into a strong, targeted spotlight.
Built on maintenance-free LED technology, the HEAD LED offers consistent performance and a long service life exceeding 50,000 hours (L70). Users can choose between narrow- or wide-beam illumination characteristics to suit their application needs, with beam angles of 70° or 100° available (without optics). The daylight white color temperature of 6500 K and a color rendering index (Ra) greater than 70 ensure excellent visibility and accurate color perception in machine environments.
The fixture’s robust construction features a housing made of colorless anodized aluminum and a 4 mm thick solid safety glass screen, making it not only mechanically durable but also chemically resistant to various industrial media such as oils and cooling lubricants. With an IP67 rating and protection class III compliance, the HEAD LED is well-suited for challenging environments where dust and moisture are present.
Installation is straightforward with screw-mounted hardware and a direct machine voltage connection. Each unit is supplied with an approximately 0.2-meter connecting cable and an M12 A-coded plug connector. Additional M12 connection technology and operating devices are available as accessories to facilitate integration with mains voltage systems, ensuring the HEAD LED is a flexible and reliable lighting solution for high-precision industrial applications.
