Designed for installation in explosion-proof rated areas, the EXC carries multiple safety certifications including UL 844, UL 1598, UL 8750, and CSA standards such as C22.2 No. 137 and No. 250.13. It is rated for use in Class I, Division 1, Groups CD T5; Class II, Division 1, Groups EFG T4A; Class III, Division 1; as well as Class I, Zone 1, Group IIB, and Class II, Zone 20, Group IIIC environments. Remarkably, in accordance with NEC 505.15(A) and CEC 18-108, conduit seals are not required during installation—simplifying the setup process.
The fixture supports input voltage options of 120–277 VAC or 22–28 VDC and operates in ambient temperatures ranging from -50°C to +58°C. Rated IP66, it is fully protected against dust and powerful water jets, making it ideal for outdoor and washdown environments.
Performance-wise, the EXC delivers up to 1,220 lumens and is thermally managed for maximum longevity. Its compact size and efficient design make it well-suited for demanding industrial applications requiring robust and reliable lighting in tight spaces.
Installation is streamlined through its built-in junction box, which includes three ¾” NPT entries on three sides. Two mounting options provide flexibility: a standard surface mount integrated into the housing and an optional adjustable yoke mount for precise aiming.
The EXC is commonly used in hazardous locations such as explosion-proof control panels, confined process areas, municipal lift stations, wellheads, service wells, and paint booths. It is also ideal for chemical storage tanks, platforms, and anywhere explosive gases may be present.
