Random is a lightweight LED pendant lamp that combines contemporary design with playful elegance. Composed of three blown glass diffusers of varying sizes, it forms a cohesive and visually striking composition. Each diffuser houses an individual LED light source, emitting a soft, evenly distributed white light that enhances the surrounding environment. When arranged in clusters, multiple Random fixtures create a poetic, bubble-like effect, evoking the fleeting, whimsical nature of soap bubbles. The modern finishes of the diffusers add character and originality, making the lamp a standout decorative element in any interior.
Designed by Chia-Ying Lee, Random captures the delicate and ephemeral qualities of frothy bubbles dancing in the wind. The blown glass spheres, measuring 18, 14, and 12 cm in diameter, feature a smooth, flawless surface that is resistant to temperature variations. Each sphere is suspended by slender metal wires that connect to a thin metal cylinder, which houses the cables and facilitates the creation of dynamic clusters. The LED driver is discreetly incorporated into the canopy, ensuring a clean and seamless design.
The lamp’s three 1W LEDs, positioned in silicone seats at the top of each glass sphere, produce a soft light available in warmer (2700 K) or cooler (3000 K) colour temperatures. With a colour rendering index (CRI) of 90, Random preserves the natural colours of objects, enhancing the authenticity and vibrancy of the space. Its playful design allows it to function as both a singular pendant over a dining table or as part of a larger installation, lighting broader areas in residential settings.
Available in seven distinctive colour finishes, Random provides a high degree of flexibility for creative compositions. The different finishes allow users to experiment with clustering patterns, creating lively, effervescent blends of light that interact harmoniously with the surrounding interior.
