The housing is constructed from precision cast aluminum components, ensuring durability, strength, and long-term reliability. The fitter is made of heavy-wall die-cast aluminum, incorporating four stainless steel Allen-head set screws for secure attachment to poles or tenons. It is designed to slip-fit poles or tenons with dimensions of 3" OD x 3" tall (R3) or 4" OD x 3" tall (R4). Multiple mounting options are available, including the Standard (HSHx) hang-straight with ball, spike, or no finial choices, and the EZ stainless steel vertical hang-straight, which features a two-part design for simplified installation. For cable-based installations, a catenary mount option is provided, complete with a cast aluminum span wire clamp accommodating aircraft cables ranging from 1/4" to 5/8" in diameter. The catenary mount integrates a decorative aluminum wire box transitioning to the EZ vertical hang-straight for secure luminaire attachment.
The lighting system integrates advanced optical solutions to deliver performance-driven illumination while maintaining visual comfort. Each LED is paired with refractor-type optics to ensure precise and efficient light distribution. The fixture can be specified with Type II, III, IV, or V optical distributions in accordance with IESNA classifications, making it adaptable to various lighting applications. To minimize glare and enhance comfort, the luminaire offers an optional SoftVue™ lens or internal diffusing dome lens in light-diffused or moderate-diffused acrylic. The LEDs are fully shielded in a direct downward position to maximize efficiency and minimize uplight. For sites requiring controlled illumination, an optional internal 120° House Side Shield is available to reduce backlight.
High-output, high-brightness LEDs form the core of the luminaire, utilizing a two-piece Chip on Board (COB) assembly with a dedicated holder frame for thermal efficiency and reliability. The LEDs are RoHS compliant, free of hazardous substances such as lead or mercury, and 100% recyclable. They deliver exceptional lumen maintenance, with predicted performance of up to 100,000 hours at greater than 70% of initial output at 25°C, based on LM-80 and TM-21 standards. Standard LED color temperature is 4000K, with additional options of 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 5000K available. A minimum 70 CRI is provided, with the option to consult the factory for custom CCT or CRI requirements.
The LED driver is UL recognized and mounted securely inside the luminaire for consistent performance. It operates at 50/60Hz with a constant current design, low total harmonic distortion (<20%), and a high power factor (>0.9). The driver is dimming-capable via a 0-10V signal and offers protections against overload, overheating, and short circuits. Supplemental surge protection is built in, conforming to IEEE/ANSI C62.41.2 standards, and quick-disconnect connectors ensure simplified installation and maintenance. An optional Fixed Dimming Resistor Board (FDRB) provides a numbered 10-step selector switch, allowing on-site adjustment of output levels from 25% to 100%.
Additional control options include button photocells or twist-lock photocells pre-wired to the driver. Depending on the mounting configuration, photocells can be installed on the catenary box, roof, or hang-straight arm. All models are instant-on with short turn-off delays and operate at 120–277 volts, ensuring reliable dusk-to-dawn control.

The Urban finish palette provides a refined appearance, with choices including Black Textured, Urban Gun Metal, Urban Bronze, Urban Silver, and Urban White, in either textured or matte finishes. Custom color matching is also available to complement specific site designs. Stainless steel hardware is included, with black oxide coating on darker finishes and natural stainless on lighter finishes.
