Featuring a 6-inch diameter cylinder paired with a 15-inch high luminous element, the RW302 incorporates a six-LED board configuration to deliver highly efficient, low-wattage lighting with symmetrical distribution. The construction of the RW302 emphasizes durability and long-term performance. The separate anchor base is fabricated from heavy-wall 356 alloy cast aluminum with a .63-inch-thick floor, providing a solid foundation for post-top installations. The pole shaft is constructed from ASTM 6063 extruded aluminum, tempered to a T6 condition, and features a 356 alloy cast aluminum tenon for secure attachment of the column head. All hardware is stainless steel, with most finishes receiving a Black Oxide conversion coating, while lighter finishes utilize non-color coated hardware. For post-top mounting, the base accommodates four 1/2-inch or 3/4-inch diameter anchor bolts, 18 inches in length, arranged in a diamond pattern with a 3.25- or 8.75-inch bolt circle depending on column height. The luminaire is designed for ease of service, with a hand-hole door providing tool-less access to the driver compartment and convenient field service for the lens.
The RW302 is engineered for high-performance lighting with a UL-recognized driver installed within the luminaire in most mounting configurations or remotely in the pole/base for Slip Fit installations. The driver operates at 50/60 Hz, provides a constant current DC output, and includes overload, overheat, and short-circuit protection, along with line-ground, line-neutral, and neutral-ground surge protection per IEEE/ANSI C62.41.2 guidelines. It maintains a THD of less than 20% and a high power factor greater than 0.9, supporting dimming via a 0–10V signal. Optional field-adjustable dimming is available through a 10-step Fixed Dimming Resistor Board (FDRB), allowing light levels to be set between 25% and 100% of the original output.
Rated IP66, the RW302 offers superior protection against dust and water intrusion, making it suitable for all outdoor environments. It is UL listed per UL1598 and CSA C22.2 No. 250.0 standards for wet locations in the United States and Canada. The luminaire’s 6-stage polyester powder coat paint system provides a high-end, durable finish that withstands extreme environmental conditions and exceeds AAMA 2604, AAMA 2605, ASTM D523, and ASTM D4214 requirements. The Urban finish palette was specifically created to complement modern architectural aesthetics, offering textured or matte finishes including Black Textured, Urban Gun Metal, Urban Bronze, Urban Silver, and Urban White.
The RW302 utilizes high-performance, fully shielded LEDs mounted to optimize thermal transfer to the heat sink. The LEDs are 100% recyclable, RoHS compliant, and free from lead, mercury, or other hazardous substances. Based on LM-80 testing and IESNA TM-21 calculations, the high-brightness white LEDs maintain over 70% of initial output after approximately 100,000 hours at 25°C. Standard correlated color temperature (CCT) is 4000K, with options ranging from 2700K to 5000K, all with a minimum 70 CRI. Each LED is equipped with collimating optics to produce a symmetric type light distribution with nearly perfect surface brightness and uniformity.
Additional features include optional night-friendly designs, electronic button or twist-lock style photocontrols, and low-profile duplex receptacles. Photocontrols are available in button or twist-lock configurations and are prewired to the driver for convenient field installation, providing automatic on/off operation based on ambient light levels. Receptacles can be configured as 120V duplex 15A GFI or non-GFI 5A USB combo units, housed in proprietary lockable in-use boxes for secure and practical power access.
