The Astralite® Telescopic minor surgical light combines the performance of the Astralite® range with the flexibility of a mobile, height-adjustable stand, creating a versatile illumination solution for diverse clinical environments. Its telescopic design allows the light head to be positioned anywhere within a vertical range of 1,100 to 1,800 mm, making it especially convenient for compact examination rooms, busy emergency areas, and gynaecology suites where adaptable positioning is essential. The mobile base provides effortless maneuverability, while optional commercial UPS compatibility ensures continuous operation during power interruptions. Designed with long-term value in mind, the fixture features an LED life exceeding 50,000 hours and delivers high-efficiency performance that produces surgical-quality illumination with significantly lower energy consumption and lifetime operating costs.
The lamp head is available in two output configurations to support different clinical needs: the AL10 model delivers 70,000 lux at one meter, while the high-performance ALE10 increases output to 100,000 lux. Both versions generate a large, uniform 250 mm light field with an optimal working distance between 70 and 140 cm, ensuring excellent visibility across minor surgical and examination tasks. A precisely engineered optical system offers a d10 beam diameter of 180 mm at one meter, enabling clinicians to illuminate a wide area without compromising clarity or contrast. The light’s colour temperature can be adjusted across six steps from 3,500 K to 5,000 K to complement various skin tones, tissue types, and procedural requirements, while its exceptional colour rendition values (Ra >95 and Rg >95) enhance the differentiation of fine anatomical details. Colour balance can be further refined using the dedicated Red Balance Control, improving visual accuracy when working with deeper tissue structures.
Astralite® Telescopic provides intuitive lighting control features designed for speed and precision. The light activates automatically whenever a control interface is touched, reducing workflow interruptions, and brightness can be adjusted in eight steps to match the needs of each procedure. A twist of the central handle allows clinicians to fine-tune the beam focus without breaking sterility, offering a smooth transition between broader illumination and highly concentrated light.
Infection control is integral to the fixture’s design. The lamp head incorporates silver-ion antimicrobial technology, featuring Biomaster additives molded directly into the plastic components along with Ultra Fresh additives built into the paint finish. These embedded materials continuously suppress microbial growth throughout the life of the fixture. Smooth, uninterrupted exterior surfaces minimize dirt traps and are easy to disinfect, while sealed construction prevents the ingress of dust and fluids that could compromise hygiene.
Engineered for durability, precision, and ease of use, the Astralite® Telescopic delivers high-intensity cold LED light with consistent optical performance and low heat output. With power consumption under 32 VA and universal 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz compatibility, it provides an efficient, reliable, and clinically optimized lighting solution for minor procedures across a wide range of healthcare settings.
