Multiple Universe Wireless DMX Transmitter with Art-Net, Streaming ACN, CRMX and CRMX2 Compatibility

The LumenRadio Galileo MAX is a modular, wireless DMX solution designed to simplify and reduce costs for architectural lighting projects while maintaining professional-grade reliability. Its flexible installation-friendly form allows for use in both indoor and outdoor environments, providing architects, lighting designers, and contractors with a versatile tool for large-scale installations. Galileo MAX enables remote setup, monitoring, and system health checks through a browser-based interface, allowing easy creation of addresses, configuration, and status verification without physically accessing the device.

Galileo MAX functions as a multiple universe wireless DMX transmitter, capable of linking with up to three standard Galileo transmitters via a specially designed backboard. This expands control to four DMX universes, with future CRMX2 support potentially extending coverage to eight universes per network. Large-scale lighting projects are easily accommodated by connecting a single Galileo MAX to an unlimited number of receivers, which may include LumenRadio products or compatible fixtures from OEM partners. The system is built on LumenRadio’s trusted CRMX technology, providing robust, low-latency wireless performance and long-range coverage, ensuring reliable signal transmission across complex installations.

Remote monitoring and configuration are key features of Galileo MAX, offering full browser-based control for setup, addressing, and ongoing system diagnostics. This allows users to monitor system health, adjust configurations, and manage multiple DMX universes from anywhere on the network. The modular design is complemented by flexible mounting options: installation in DIN-rail cabinets or certified enclosures with IP65 or higher ensures compatibility with a wide range of architectural lighting projects, accommodating both permanent and semi-permanent setups.

Galileo MAX supports Art-Net and Streaming ACN protocols via Ethernet, alongside DMX512-A and RDM. It maintains a fixed 5ms latency, 128-bit encryption, and a radio link range that extends over hundreds of meters, ensuring both performance and security. Quick configuration is achieved through the integrated web interface, and the device is fully compatible with all CRMX and W-DMX devices.

From a technical standpoint, Galileo MAX operates on a 12–24 VDC power supply with a maximum power consumption of 8.5 W and includes a self-healing fuse for safety. Rated wire sizes range from 0.2–1.5 mm² (24–16 AWG), and the device weighs 195 g with dimensions of 107 x 93 x 58.7 mm. Environmental specifications include an operating temperature range of -20 to +55°C, storage from -30 to +80°C, and 0–90% non-condensing relative humidity. Wireless operation spans multiple frequency bands: 2.4 GHz (2402–2480 MHz), 5.2 GHz (5170–5330 MHz), and 5.5 GHz (5490–5590 MHz), with maximum RF output power of 100 mW at 2.4 GHz (280 mW for US), and 50 mW at 5 GHz.

The Galileo MAX supports a wide range of protocols and standards, including CRMX, CRMX2, W-DMX G3, W-DMX G4S, Art-Net, Streaming ACN, and RDM. Connectivity options include 10/100 Mbps Ethernet via RJ45, PoE compatibility (IEEE 802.3af), and a USB 2.0 port for software updates. With its combination of wireless reliability, multi-universe capability, modular installation, and remote management, Galileo MAX offers a complete solution for scalable and flexible architectural lighting projects.
