The Screw Simpline Node is a PLC (Power Line Communication) embedded street lighting controller that provides precise control and dimming for individual luminaires or luminaire groups. Compatible with third-party motion sensors, the device allows flexible integration into existing street lighting systems while supporting multiple communication and control protocols. It accommodates DALI, DALI 2.0, PWM, 1–10 V, and 0–10 V interfaces, enabling comprehensive control of individual loads, including on/off switching and dimming.
Powered from a 110–230 V AC supply, the Screw Simpline Node supports luminaires with power ratings up to 1000 W. It communicates individually with the Central Gateway QULON C, C1, or C2, as well as with the QULON Simpline module, using existing power lines for data transmission. The Simpline technology operates within a 132.5 kHz frequency range according to CENELEC EN 50065-1 (band C), ensuring reliable PLC communication without requiring additional wiring.
The unit is built for installation directly within the luminaire body or inside a lighting pole using screw terminals. Its robust design provides IP68 dust and moisture protection, making it suitable for challenging outdoor conditions and ensuring long-term durability. The housing combines plastic and metal materials, with compact dimensions of 94 mm length, 37.2 mm height, and 61.2 mm width, and a total mass of 0.3 kg.
Electrical performance includes a maximum current of 3 A, with an integrated anti-jamming filter for loads between 20–250 W and support for an external anti-jamming filter for loads from 250–800 W. The device can handle maximum load power up to 300 W with the integrated filter and 850 W when using the external filter.
Environmental resilience is maintained across an operating temperature range of –40 to +70°C and a storage temperature range of –50 to +80°C, with relative humidity tolerance up to 100%. The device complies with CE and RoHS standards and comes with a 36-month warranty.
Connectivity and control are provided via terminal block connectors (2EDGVС), with inputs for motion sensors and output interfaces including DALI, DALI 2.0, PWM, 1–10 V, and 0–10 V. Setup and configuration are managed remotely through QULON C, C1, or C2 gateways or via QULON Simpline software, with LED indicators providing visual confirmation of device activity and status.
