The Vive Integral Fixture Control is a radio frequency (RF) device designed to provide seamless control of Lutron EcoSystem or DALI LED drivers. It receives RF input from Pico remote controls, Radio Powr Savr wireless sensors, or Vive hubs, enabling fixtures to respond dynamically to occupancy, daylight, and manual commands. This device is intended to be mounted directly to a fixture at the fixture manufacturer’s facility, providing a fully integrated control solution without the need for external hardware.
The DFCSJ-OEM-OCC model combines occupancy and daylight sensing, using passive infrared technology to detect movement and monitor ambient light levels within a space. It balances light output automatically, maximizing energy efficiency while maintaining optimal lighting conditions. The control interfaces with drivers via a two-wire connection to either a driver with an integrated self-powered DALI link or the fixture control digital link, ensuring compatibility and simple installation. In contrast, the DFCSJ-OEM-RF model offers wireless fixture control without occupancy or daylight sensing, connecting to drivers through the same two-wire interface. Both models utilize Lutron Clear Connect RF Technology to communicate with input devices, maintaining reliable operation over standard distances.
The Vive Integral Fixture Control operates at 9.5–20.5 V- with a maximum current of 250 mA and is compatible with Lutron EcoSystem LED drivers, OPTOTRONICR by eldoLEDR drivers, and Advance XitaniumR SR drivers. The device is available in white, rated for indoor use only, and functions within an ambient temperature range of 32 °F to 131 °F (0 °C to 55 °C) with 0%–90% non-condensing humidity. Wireless sensors and controls must be within 60 feet (18 meters) line-of-sight or 30 feet (9 meters) through walls, and devices must be within 71 feet (22 meters) of a Vive hub. Regulatory approvals include cULus Listing (UL244A), FCC Class B compliance, Industry Canada certification, and compliance with NECR 2014 300.22(C)(3) for use in plenums. The control is covered by a five-year limited warranty.
The DFCSJ-OEM-OCC model includes a default occupancy sensor with a 15-minute timeout, medium sensitivity, auto-on/auto-off mode, and an occupied light level of 100%. Daylighting is enabled by default, with the sensor dimming lights to off after 15 minutes if sufficient ambient light is present. Occupancy detection relies on Lutron XCT Technology, providing a 360° field of view with major and minor motion coverage of 144 square feet at a 9-foot ceiling height. Daylight sensing is pre-calibrated, offering a linear response to ambient light changes from 0 to 1600 lux (0 to 150 fc) and closed-loop proportional control to maintain consistent light levels.
Both DFCSJ-OEM-OCC and DFCSJ-OEM-RF models feature power failure memory, two-wire non-polarized connections to prevent mis-wires, and accurate measured power reporting when connected to compatible drivers. Users can adjust low-end and high-end trim settings, set minimum light levels to prevent complete shutdown in areas such as hallways, and configure a favorite light level through Pico remote control. These capabilities enable precise lighting customization while simplifying installation and commissioning.
The Vive Integral Fixture Control with sensor is ideal for individual fixture control, such as in cubicles, where energy savings are maximized by preventing lighting in unoccupied spaces. For larger areas, Radio Powr Savr sensors can cover multiple fixtures, allowing grouping or daylight-responsive dimming. Integrating the Vive control with sensors and hubs provides flexible solutions for commercial and architectural applications, ensuring energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and ease of installation.
