Building upon the foundation of Claypaky’s Sinfonya, Rhapsodya takes innovation further with double the output, enhanced optical performance, and a new sleek, modern design. Its silent operation, even at full output, makes it ideal for noise-sensitive environments such as theatres and on-camera applications.
While Rhapsodya shares core features with Sinfonya—such as ACCUFRAME™, a dual focal plane framing system delivering 40 times the precision of conventional methods, TONEDOWN™ ultra-quiet fan control at just 27dBA, Absolute Position for accurate Pan and Tilt control, and LINEGUARD frost with dual blade pairs—it adds a new layer of sophistication with exclusive technologies. These include AccuTune, a proprietary algorithm that refines the LED engine for vibrant, rich colors tailored for both stage and broadcast use, and COLORSTRING, which enables individual LED control for advanced graphic and color effects. The fixture also introduces a high-performance Proprietary Optical System with a zoom range of 6.2° to 63.3°, offering outstanding flexibility and visual impact.
Driven by a robust 1200W RGBAL LED engine, Rhapsodya delivers up to 24,000 lumens of output and a color temperature range from 2500K to 10,000K, with a CRI of up to 94 for highly accurate color rendering. The 14-element optical system, featuring a large 180mm front lens, ensures sharp focus and uniform output across the beam. The fixture is also designed for exceptional precision in movement, offering 16-bit control over Pan (540°) and Tilt (270°), with Absolute Positioning and automatic repositioning for consistent accuracy. A tilt safety brake and mechanical locks support safe transport and maintenance.
Rhapsodya is equipped with an extensive range of dynamic effects, including two rotating gobo wheels—each holding six HD indexable and replaceable gobos—a continuously rotating aluminum animation wheel with XY movement, and a four-facet rotating prism. Its motorized zoom and focus are complemented by an autofocus feature. Additional effects include a 16-blade motorized iris, linear heavy frost for wash applications, light frost for soft diffusion, and a high-speed electronic shutter with 24-bit dimming and three selectable dimmer curves. The framing system offers full blackout with each blade and ±60° rotation of the entire module.
Connectivity and control are equally advanced, with support for DMX, Art-Net, sACN, and RDM protocols, as well as optional CRMX (LumenRadio) wireless DMX. Three user-selectable control modes offer up to 62 channels, plus an additional 20 channels dedicated to the individual LED engine via COLORSTRING.
