The B-EYE has completely transformed the landscape of LED show lighting with its groundbreaking technology and creative flexibility. Its advanced optical unit significantly improves both the uniformity and efficiency of light output. A hallmark feature is the rotating front lens combined with full individual LED control, enabling stunning kaleidoscopic projections and captivating eye-candy effects that are now staples in modern lighting design. The inclusion of a sophisticated effect engine simplifies the programming of intricate macro effects, previously challenging to execute. This innovation has made the B-EYE a truly multifunctional lighting tool—a high-performance LED wash light, a precision beam light, and a dazzling visual effects projector all in one. Its design excellence has earned it multiple industry awards and inspired numerous imitations over the years.
Building upon this legacy, Claypaky introduced the HY B-EYE, an evolution that doubles the power and brightness of the original B-EYE while offering even greater versatility. The HY B-EYE incorporates advanced interactivity, including compatibility with media servers through the Kling-Net protocol, making it an ideal fixture for large-scale productions and immersive experiences. Remarkably, despite its increased performance, it maintains the same form factor and control architecture as the original B-EYE and operates with impressive silence.
For environments requiring minimal noise—such as theaters and TV studios—Claypaky offers the HY B-EYE K25 TEATRO. This special edition of the K25 is designed to deliver vibrant color output and powerful effects while ensuring ultra-quiet operation, thanks to noise-optimized presets.
The HY B-EYE features 37 high-powered RGBW Osram OSTAR Stage II LEDs, each rated at 40W, delivering a total luminous output of 16,100 lumens through its patented 37-lens optical system. It boasts a motorized zoom range of 4° to 60°, making it highly adaptable for both narrow beam projections and wide wash coverage. The fixture supports three primary operating modes—wash, beam, and FX (Kaleido effects)—and includes a bi-directional rotating front lens, beam edge softening, digital wash-beam framing, and pixel patterning macros.
The HY B-EYE is rich in control options, supporting DMX, Art-Net, sACN, and RDM protocols. It includes multiple control personalities, from basic engine modes (21/22/35/36 channels) to extensive pixel engine modes (111/148 channels). Built-in Web Server functionality and full compatibility with Claypaky’s CloudIO system provide enhanced remote access and diagnostics, including firmware upgrades, DMX monitoring, and on-field color calibration.
From a mechanical standpoint, the fixture offers robust movement with 540° pan and 210° tilt, both with automatic repositioning and mechanical locks for transport and maintenance. The housing is constructed from aluminum and steel with plastic covers, IP20 rated, and includes side handles for transport and fast-lock omega clamps for rigging.
Noise levels have been finely tuned for various environments. The standard HY B-EYE K25 operates as low as 33.5 dB when stationary, while the K25 TEATRO variant achieves super-silent modes as low as 35.0 dB in automatic operation. Thermal protection and active forced ventilation ensure safe operation up to 40°C ambient temperature, with heat dissipation rated at approximately 5329 BTU/hr.
With a power draw of up to 1250 VA and a broad input voltage range of 100–240V, 50/60 Hz, the HY B-EYE is designed for international touring and permanent installations alike. Its thoughtful integration of lighting performance, dynamic effects, noise management, and control versatility makes it an ideal solution for concerts, live productions, theatrical venues, and TV broadcast applications.
