The S-OP-L/H is a ceiling-mounted, high/low bay occupancy sensor that combines passive infrared (PIR) technology with a built-in photocell for ambient light detection, providing reliable motion-based lighting control for high-ceiling applications. The sensor is capable of detecting occupancy within a maximum area diameter of up to 35 feet, automatically setting luminaires to a user-defined dimming level when motion is detected and switching lights off after the area is vacated. End users can customize time delays, light level sensitivity, detection range, and other operational parameters using the BubblyNet App, allowing flexible control to match specific indoor and outdoor applications.

The Low Bay Photocell + Occupancy Sensor employs digital PIR Motion Detector architecture with dual-element PIR technology, which enhances detection coverage for ceiling-mounted installations up to 30 feet high. As a Class 2 device compliant with CA Title 24 bi-level dimming requirements, the sensor can dim lighting loads to any level defined by the user, provided the connected transformer or LED driver supports dim-to-off operation. The device supports both indoor and outdoor environments, with operating temperatures ranging from 22°F to 158°F (-30°C to 70°C) and relative humidity between 90 and 95% at 86°F (30°C), ensuring dependable performance under a wide range of conditions.

The sensor operates on 12–24 VDC, drawing 25 mA under normal conditions and up to 50 mA with Bluetooth® Low Energy enabled. It supports ceiling surface mounting up to 30 feet (9.2 meters) high, with a 360° coverage pattern and a maximum detection diameter of 25 feet (7.6 meters). The unit has a compact 3.66-inch (93 mm) diameter form factor, finished in white, and includes an LED motion indicator for visible status feedback. Power can be supplied via a separate AC/DC converter or through the auxiliary DC output of a BubblyNet controller, which is not included with the sensor. The S-OP-L/H comes with a two-year warranty, reflecting its durability and reliability for long-term use.

Installation is flexible, allowing recessed spring mounting for drywall or other surfaces with a cutout, as well as side or bottom mounting to integrate the sensor with luminaires when fixture space is limited. The sensor is Bluetooth Mesh qualified, enabling integration into wireless lighting networks for zone-based control and automated responses. Its combination of PIR occupancy sensing, photocell-based ambient light detection, and programmable time delays makes it suitable for a variety of high-ceiling indoor environments, including warehouses, gymnasiums, manufacturing floors, and covered outdoor spaces, offering intelligent and customizable lighting management without requiring extensive wiring or additional controllers.
