The dAlta-7 is a finely engineered directional luminaire designed to illuminate a variety of spaces with configurations of 3, 6, or 9 LEDs. An RGBW version is also available, which integrates seamlessly with ZDClink® systems for advanced lighting control. The fixture operates on an input voltage of 10 to 15 Vac/dc at 50/60 Hz for the white LED version, and 11 to 15 Vac/dc at 50/60 Hz for the RGBW version, requiring a remote transformer that must be specified separately. It features an integral driver with white LEDs from Lumileds® and RGBW LEDs from Cree®. Thermal management is expertly handled by the onboard CoolDrive™ system, which monitors and controls heat to ensure optimal performance. The dAlta-7 boasts a long lifetime, exceeding 72,000 hours for the white LED and 55,000 hours for the RGBW, as reported in TM21 projections. Dimming is available via Luxor® control systems or trailing-edge (reverse phase-cut) dimmers, offering smooth, customizable lighting levels.
The ZDClink Controller leverages Luxor Technology™ to enable zoning of luminaires into up to 250 groups, allowing each group to be dimmed in 1% increments from 0% to 100%, or to shift to one of over 30,000 colors with RGBW LEDs. Users can select the ZD option for zoning and dimming or the ZDC option for zoning, dimming, and color control. The dAlta-7 luminaire is fully compatible and zoneable with ZDClink, providing flexible and precise lighting control for any application.
Constructed from machined C360 brass for the housing, knuckle, and angled glass support, the dAlta-7 combines durability with elegant design. It also features a C110 copper shroud and brass hardware. Finish options include a natural copper or brass look, as well as antiqued finishes with either a brushed (Antique Bronze) or tumbled (Antique Tumbled) effect. These antique finishes are sealed with a clear TGIC powder-coat layer for enhanced protection and longevity. The luminaire offers multiple beam angles for the white LED version—Spot (20°), Flood (35°), and Wide Flood (60°)—with the option for a Narrow Spot (10°) by removing the beam angle lens on-site. These beam angles are field serviceable, while the RGBW beam angle is fixed.
Designed exclusively for upward lighting installations, the dAlta-7 ships with the ProAim™ Adjustable Ratcheting Stake (PARS), a 10-inch ABS stake featuring tamper-resistant properties for secure placement. The fixture includes compress-and-lock features to prevent slip after installation, allowing for vertical adjustment in 9° increments over a 220° range. Wiring consists of 18 AWG (1 mm) SPT-1W cable rated at 220°F (105°C) and 300 V, with a length of 10 feet (3 meters).
To ensure durability and performance, the dAlta-7 incorporates MoistureBlock™ Technology within the socket to prevent moisture wicking into sealed areas. The OptiClear™ tempered glass lens delivers exceptional optical clarity and mechanical strength. Glare control is provided through options for a 90° cutoff or a 45° long shield, with the 90° shield including a drainage hole for moisture management. The hardware is crafted from brass and/or stainless steel for corrosion resistance. This luminaire supports a range of housing capacities including 1, 3, 6, or 9 LEDs, as well as the ZDC-L configuration.
Rated IP65, the dAlta-7 is suitable for dry, damp, and wet locations, making it a versatile choice for outdoor lighting. It carries UL 1838 certification and complies with IEC 60598-1 and IEC 60598-2-4 standards when used with the Ground Mount (“GM-XX”) or other mounts rated IP65 or higher, ensuring reliable performance and safety in a variety of environments.
