The optics, developed by Ayrton, are specifically designed to optimize the resolution, performance, and efficiency of the fixture. These optics provide perfect image reproduction and significantly reduce distortion caused by the shutter blades, even with wide zoom angles. The system delivers a highly uniform, flat beam without hot spots, ensuring a flawless color mix, regardless of the selected combination. The fixture is fitted with a 148 mm frontal lens and a proprietary optical system composed of 13 lenses, achieving an 8:1 zoom ratio and a zoom range from 7° to 58°. Ayrton has incorporated a minimalist design in the Perseo Profile, using lightweight die-cast aluminum, and ensuring full weatherproofing for accessibility and durability. The fixture also includes a phase-change liquid cooling system with six submersible fans located outside the watertight enclosure to enhance efficiency.
Designed for versatility, the Perseo Profile is ideal for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications. It comes standard with a subtractive CMY colour mixing system, a variable CTO, and a colour wheel with six complementary colours, allowing for an infinite array of vivid pastels and saturated colors. The framing section enables precise positioning of four shutter blades across a 100% surface area in all positions, making it possible to frame any object regardless of the luminaire's placement. The image section features 18 interchangeable HD glass gobos on two wheels: a rotating wheel with seven positions and a fixed wheel with eleven positions. The effects section includes a continuous dynamic effects wheel, a 15-blade iris diaphragm, two frost filters (light and heavy), and two rotating prisms: one circular with five facets and one linear with four facets. The updated design includes perfectly straightened yoke arms, a minimalist base, and a new water-resistant menu navigation system. The Perseo Profile can be controlled via DMX-RDM, ArtNet™, or a wireless link using CRMX TiMo RDM from LumenRadio™.
The Perseo Profile features advanced optics, including a 13-element, 8:1 zoom high-resolution optic system with a beam aperture ranging from 7° to 58°. The system offers fast motorized linear zoom with tempered anti-reflective coated lenses and a 148 mm frontal lens for improved performance. The Perseo Profile S offers up to 30,000 lumens with an 8200 K white light engine, while the Perseo Profile TC delivers up to 26,000 lumens with a 7000 K white light engine, both with a colour temperature output of 6900 K and 6500 K, respectively. Both models have a rated life of up to 40,000 hours and flicker-free source management suitable for TV applications and video-recorded events. The luminaire provides extremely accurate positioning with moving head operated via either 8- or 16-bit resolution. It uses high-resolution stepper motors and microprocessors to ensure smooth, precise movement with pan and tilt automatic repositioning. The moving head has a range of 540° for pan and 263° for tilt.
The Perseo Profile's colour capabilities include a sophisticated CMY colour mixing system, variable CTO colour temperature correction, and a fixed colour wheel with six complementary colours. The gobo section features indexable rotating gobo wheels with seven high-precision glass gobos, plus an open position, as well as a fixed gobo wheel with eleven high-precision glass gobos. The rotating gobo diameter is 27 mm, and the image diameter is 22 mm. The framing system offers four individually positionable shutter blades, and the iris diaphragm provides fast, adjustable dynamic effects, with an iris range from 15% to 100% open. Frost effects are customizable with light and heavy frost filters, and the fixture is equipped with two rotating and indexable prisms: a five-facet circular prism and a four-facet linear prism. The Perseo Profile also features an electronic dimmer, strobe effects with adjustable speed from 1 to 25 flashes per second, and continuous rotation of the graphic animation effect-wheel.
With robust software features, the Perseo Profile offers local DMX addressing through a built-in LCD control panel, as well as remote DMX addressing through an RDM DMX controller. It includes an information menu displaying the hour counter, temperature, and software version. The hardware features a graphic LCD display with a flip function, five menu buttons, and excess temperature protection. The integrated wireless CRMX TiMo™ RDM receiver from LumenRadio™ and IP65-rated connectors for DMX and ArtNet™ ensure reliable connectivity. The fixture is compatible with DMX 512 protocol, DMX-RDM, and supports stand-alone and Master/Slave modes. The Perseo Profile also supports ArtNet™ and sACN protocols through Ethernet cable, with four DMX modes available, ranging from 38 to 61 DMX channels.
The Perseo Profile has a power supply with active PFC, operating between 100 to 240 Volts at 50/60 Hz and a maximum power of 800 W. Its advanced liquid cooling system includes IP68-rated self-adjusting variable speed fans, which operate quietly in auto mode and offer selectable ventilation modes, including a new Silent Mode. The fixture is designed with safety protection against excess temperatures, and its housing is made of die-cast aluminum with moulded covers. The Perseo Profile's base is also made of die-cast aluminum, with heatsinks in both aluminum and copper, ensuring effective heat dissipation. It has two-side handles for easy transportation and four heavy-duty feet for improved stability. The fixture is rated for IP65 protection, making it suitable for use in all weather conditions. The exterior finish is carbon black, adding a sleek, industrial aesthetic.
Installation is made easy with a fastening bracket system, which includes two Omega ¼ turn brackets designed for use with standard clamps. There are four ¼ turn locking fittings for attaching Omega brackets, as well as a safety-cable attachment point. The Perseo Profile can be used in various operating positions, whether on the floor or fixed to a support, and it is designed to withstand extreme temperatures, with a maximum ambient temperature of 45°C (113°F) and a minimum of -20°C (-4°F). The minimum usage distance is 2 meters (6.56 feet), ensuring safety and optimal performance in various environments.
