Ayrton MagicPanel FX: High-Power RGBW LED Moving Head Lights with Advanced Optical Zoom, Infinite Rotation, and DMX Control

The MagicPanel FX is an innovative new multi-function, multi-use luminaire that builds upon the success of the renowned MagicPanel R. This cutting-edge fixture features a revolutionary optical zoom system with no visible moving parts and a fixed transmitting lens, offering a 15:1 zoom ratio. The system provides a beam angle ranging from 3.6° to 53°, utilizing a 5 x 5 array of squared lenses. Each of the 25 squared 65 mm lenses has an optical surface equivalent to that of an 80 mm round lens. This combination, along with an ultra-powerful LED emitter, produces an extremely powerful beam capable of creating vibrant 3D volumetric effects, making it ideal for a wide range of applications.

With 900 W of total power, the MagicPanel FX boasts 25 next-generation RGBW high-power LED emitters and an active phase-change liquid cooling system, which ensures reliable performance even in intense "wash light" mode. The luminaire also includes continuous, unlimited rotation on both the pan and tilt axes, a feature first introduced on the MagicPanel 602 in 2013. The fixture’s serial connectivity allows for easy control via DMX-RDM, ArtNet™, sACN, or wireless CRMX TiMo RDM by LumenRadio™.

The MagicPanel FX features a 15:1 zoom high-resolution optic system, with a beam aperture ranging from 3.6° to 53°. This motorized linear zoom system allows for fast adjustments, while the 25 squared 65 mm frontal lenses ensure superior light quality and clarity. The light source consists of 25 RGBW high-power LED emitters, capable of delivering up to 13,500 lumens of output, with a luminous intensity of 2,070,000 cd in narrow beam mode. The LEDs have a rated lifespan of up to 40,000 hours and offer flicker-free performance, making them suitable for TV applications and video-recorded events.

The fixture offers extremely accurate movement with high-resolution stepper motors operated via microprocessors, ensuring smooth and precise positioning. The pan and tilt ranges allow for infinite rotation, and the MagicPanel FX is capable of producing both 2D and 3D graphical effects, which can be coupled with beam, wash, or matrix applications. It also includes built-in pattern effects with adjustable speed and fade controls for scenic applications. The electronic dimmer allows for smooth light adjustments from 0 to 100%, and the unit can produce both white and color strobe effects, with speed adjustments ranging from 1 to 25 flashes per second.

In terms of software features, the MagicPanel FX includes a built-in LCD control panel for local DMX addressing and settings adjustments. It also offers remote DMX addressing through a standard RDM DMX controller and features an information menu with details on hour counters, temperature, and software versions. The hardware includes an integrated wireless CRMX TiMo™ RDM receiver from LumenRadio™, XLR 5-pin connectors for DMX, etherCON RJ45 connectors for ArtNet™, and powerCON TRUE1 connectors for power supply.

The fixture operates with a power supply of 1,000 W and is designed with an advanced cooling system, featuring self-adjusting variable-speed fans for quiet operation. It also includes selectable ventilation modes for different environments, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The housing of the MagicPanel FX is built with a combination of aluminum and steel for durability, with molded covers made from fire-retardant ABS PC (V0 class). For easy transportation, it features two side handles and four heavy-duty feet for added stability. The unit has an IP20 protection rating and is finished in a sleek black (Carbon) exterior.

The MagicPanel FX can be installed using a fastening bracket system with two Omega ¼ turn brackets and offers four ¼ turn locking fittings for easy attachment. It also includes a safety cable attachment point for secure installation. The fixture is designed to operate in a wide range of environmental conditions, with a maximum ambient temperature of 45°C (113°F) and a minimum of -10°C (14°F). The recommended minimum usage distance is 2.0 meters (6.56 feet), ensuring flexibility in a variety of staging and installation setups.
