The MagicBlade FX is an exciting new iteration of Ayrton's award-winning MagicBlade R, which has earned widespread acclaim for its use on major musical tours worldwide. This next-generation fixture is equipped with a revolutionary FX optical zoom system, offering a remarkable 15:1 zoom ratio with a beam angle ranging from 3.6° to 53°. The optical system incorporates seven squared 65 mm transmitting lenses, each with the optical surface equivalent to a round lens with an 80 mm diameter. Combined with an ultra-powerful, low-etendue LED emitter, the MagicBlade FX is capable of producing intense beams that create impressive 3D volumetric effects. Notably, the system features no visible moving parts and a fixed transmitting lens, ensuring both reliability and clarity in the projection.
The MagicBlade FX is powered by seven next-generation RGBW high-output LEDs, each of which can be individually controlled to generate airborne virtual scenery or to illuminate sets and performers. The precise separation between each LED source allows designers to create innovative graphic effects. Furthermore, the fixture includes an onboard library of pre-programmed effects and color macros, which can be combined with console-driven control in various display modes. MagicBlade FX offers extended serial connectivity, with compatibility for DMX-512 with RDM, ArtNet™, sACN, or wireless control via CRMX TiMo™ RDM from LumenRadio™.
This versatile fixture also boasts a sophisticated color mixing system, capable of producing 4.29 billion colors with a high Color Rendering Index (CRI). It provides a uniform light beam with rich, saturated hues and smooth pastel tones, ensuring vibrant effects without any color shadows. The fixture’s dynamic color macros can be adjusted with variable speed, offering even more creative possibilities. In addition to its lighting capabilities, MagicBlade FX includes advanced software features such as local and remote DMX addressing, a built-in LCD control panel, and a range of diagnostic tools. It also offers three DMX modes, which can accommodate between 19 and 46 channels, depending on the setup.
For added versatility, the MagicBlade FX includes an advanced cooling system with self-adjusting variable speed fans, ensuring quiet operation in both stage and studio environments. The system also includes selectable auto, stage, and studio ventilation modes for different scenarios. The fixture's housing is made from a combination of aluminum and steel metal plates, with heatsinks in aluminum and molded covers in self-extinguishing fire retardant ABS PC (V0 class). It is designed to be both durable and lightweight, with convenient side handles for easy transportation and heavy-duty feet for added stability. Its IP20 protection rating makes it suitable for a wide range of operating conditions, with an operating temperature range between -10°C (14°F) and 45°C (113°F).
MagicBlade FX is highly adaptable, capable of being used in a variety of positions and environments, whether on the floor or mounted on a support. The fixture’s installation system includes Omega ¼ turn brackets designed for use with standard clamps, and it also provides a safety cable attachment point for secure installation. With a maximum power consumption of 400 W and a long lifespan of up to 40,000 hours, the MagicBlade FX delivers reliable performance for any lighting setup.
