Ayrton Levante Ultra-Compact Wash Light with 13-Lens Optics, Precise Zoom, and Advanced CMY Mixing for Demanding Stage and Studio Lighting Applications

Ayrton introduces the Levante™, an ultra-compact version of the Bora wash light, delivering exceptional performance within a dramatically miniaturized format. This marvel of technology is designed to meet the demands of the most discerning lighting designers. The Levante S version, weighing just 22 kg, produces a light output of over 20,000 lumens while consuming only 300 W. Equipped with a spherical 138 mm frontal lens, the proprietary optical system features 13 lenses, offering a zoom ratio exceeding 8:1, with a zoom range from 6.9° to 57°. The optics deliver a perfectly uniform, flat beam with no hot spot, ensuring flawless color mixing regardless of the selected color combination. Ayrton has designed a wash luminaire capable of sculpting light, incorporating a high-transmission diffusion filter that smooths the beam’s edge without altering its angle. Additionally, a variable linear frost system allows users to adjust diffusion levels with precision. A new barndoors module has been integrated, allowing for four shutter blades that can be freely positioned across the entire surface area to frame any object, regardless of the luminaire’s position.

Levante comes in two versions: the S and the TC. The S version is optimized for ultra-high output, generating metallic white light at 7000 K, and is specifically designed for stage applications. The TC version, ideal for situations that demand perfect color rendition, boasts a native color rendering index greater than 90 and high TM30 readings, with a color temperature of 6000 K. Fully equipped from the factory, Levante includes not only the barndoor module but also a CMY color mixing system, which, combined with a variable CTO and a wheel with seven complementary colors, provides an endless palette of vibrant pastels and saturated hues. The effects section includes a 15-blade iris diaphragm and a rotating gobo wheel with seven indexable gobos. Powered by a compact 550 W supply, Levante's advanced system operates efficiently, with eight additional motors feeding the barndoor system while retaining the Mistral’s compact design. The luminaire features a highly efficient phase-change liquid cooling system, incorporating a heat pipe and an ultra-silent ventilation mode, perfect for both stage and studio settings.

The optical system of Levante includes a 13-element, 8:1 zoom high-resolution optic system with a beam aperture ranging from 6.9° to 57°, fast motorized linear zoom, and tempered anti-reflective coated lenses. The 138 mm frontal lens ensures greater performance. The Levante S version delivers 26,500 lumens from its 8000 K white light engine, producing up to 20,000 lumens, while the Levante TC offers 20,500 lumens from a 7000 K engine, with a total luminaire output of up to 15,000 lumens. Both versions boast a long rated life of up to 40,000 hours, with flicker-free source management suitable for TV and video-recorded events. The movement system provides highly accurate positioning, with the moving-head operated through 8- or 16-bit resolution. It features high-resolution stepper motors controlled by microprocessors, ensuring smooth movements with pan and tilt ranges of 540° (pan) and 263° (tilt), along with automatic repositioning.

Levante’s color system includes a sophisticated CMY color mixing setup, variable CTO for color temperature correction, and a fixed color wheel with seven complementary colors. The gobo system includes one indexable rotating gobo wheel with seven metallic gobos, plus an open position, with an adjustable-speed rotating gobo. The gobo diameter is 25.5 mm, and the image diameter is 20 mm. The framing system features four individually positionable shutter blades with a 100% surface area for all positions, allowing for the precise framing of objects regardless of the luminaire's position. The iris diaphragm offers dynamic effects with an adjustable range from 15% to 100% open. The frost system allows for 0% to 100% variable linear frost for precise diffusion. The luminaire also includes an electronic dimmer for smooth light adjustment from 0 to 100%, along with a white or color strobe effect adjustable from 1 to 25 flashes per second.

Levante’s software features include local and remote DMX addressing through a built-in LCD control panel or standard RDM DMX controller. The information menu provides access to the hour counter, temperature, and software version. Hardware features include an integrated wireless CRMX TiMo™ RDM receiver from LumenRadio™, as well as XLR 5-pin connectors for DMX connection and powerCON TRUE1 connectors for power. The luminaire operates on a DMX 512 protocol, compatible with wireless systems, and supports stand-alone mode and master/slave configurations. It offers three DMX modes, with a choice of 29 to 50 DMX channels.

The Levante has an advanced liquid cooling system, with self-adjusting variable-speed fans for quiet operation and a selectable silent mode for quieter ventilation. The housing is constructed from a moving-head skeleton made of aluminum and steel plates, with a die-cast aluminum base and heatsinks made from aluminum and copper. The molded covers are made of self-extinguishing fire retardant ABS PC. The luminaire is designed for stability with four heavy-duty feet and two side handles for easy transport. It is rated for IP20 protection and features a black (Carbon) exterior finish. Installation is made easy with two Omega ¼ turn brackets designed for use with standard clamps, and four ¼ turn locking fittings that allow for the installation of the Omega brackets. The Levante has a safety cable attachment point and operates in all positions, either on the floor or fixed to a support. It can withstand maximum ambient temperatures of 45°C (113°F) and minimum temperatures of -10°C (14°F), with a minimum usage distance of 1.5 meters (4.92 feet).
