Eurus Profile is the first multi-function profile luminaire introduced under Ayrton’s SLIM-21™ programme, which focuses on miniaturising fixtures and reducing weight. This groundbreaking unit features a newly developed high-efficiency power supply housed within a die-cast aluminium base that occupies 33% less volume compared to others in its class. A lighter internal framework and newly designed compact stepper motors further reduce weight and size, while enhancing performance. Eurus Profile’s proprietary optics system, which includes a 170 mm frontal lens and a series of 13 lenses, delivers an impressive 11:1 zoom ratio with a range from 4.5° to 50°. This system is specifically engineered for high-precision image reproduction, even in wide zooms, by significantly minimising distortion caused by shutter blades.
Eurus Profile is offered in two models: S and TC. The S version is purpose-built for stage lighting, featuring an ultra-compact 650 W monochromatic LED emitter calibrated at 8200 K, producing a powerful output of 36,000 lumens at 6700 K with a CRI above 70. The TC version is intended for applications that demand exceptional colour accuracy, offering a light output of up to 25,000 lumens at 6200 K and a CRI above 90. Both models support flicker-free source management and provide up to 40,000 hours of rated life, making them suitable for studio and video-recorded environments.
From the factory, Eurus Profile is equipped with a full suite of features. Its subtractive CMY colour mixing system is paired with a variable CTO and a seven-position fixed colour wheel, providing a virtually limitless range of saturated and pastel colours. Two additional filters are included to enhance colour rendering index and TM30 values. The precise framing system allows each of the four shutter blades to be positioned across the entire surface area, enabling exact object framing regardless of the luminaire’s orientation. For added creativity, the image section includes 18 HD glass gobos split between a seven-position rotating wheel and an eleven-position fixed wheel.
The effects capabilities of Eurus Profile are equally advanced. Users benefit from a continuously rotating graphic animation wheel, a 15-blade iris diaphragm, two frost filters for light and heavy diffusion, and two combinable rotating prisms—a five-facet circular and a four-facet linear prism. These features are supported by a powerful yet quiet phase-change liquid cooling system with heat pipe technology, as well as an ultra-silent ventilation mode optimized for theatrical and broadcast settings.
Eurus Profile’s movement capabilities are highly refined, thanks to high-resolution stepper motors and microprocessor control, offering smooth, accurate pan (540°) and tilt (266°) movements with automatic repositioning. The luminaire supports both 8- and 16-bit resolution for precise control. The dimming system offers seamless transitions from 0 to 100% without colour shift, and the strobe function provides variable speeds from 1 to 25 flashes per second.
On the software side, Eurus Profile includes local and remote DMX addressing, RDM compatibility, and an information-rich menu displaying vital data such as run hours, temperature, and software version. A graphical LCD interface and clicking jog wheel offer user-friendly access to settings. Connectivity includes XLR 5-pin DMX in/out, etherCON RJ45 for ArtNet™ and sACN, and a powerCON TRUE1 connector. Wireless control is possible via an integrated CRMX TiMo™ RDM receiver from LumenRadio™.
The electronic power supply features active PFC and operates across a range of 100 to 240 volts at 50/60 Hz, with a maximum power draw of 1,000 W. The cooling system intelligently adjusts fan speed for quiet operation and includes a selectable Silent Mode for noise-sensitive environments. Overheat protection ensures safe performance under demanding conditions.
Structurally, the Eurus Profile features a rugged housing constructed from aluminium and steel, with die-cast aluminium for the base, aluminium and copper heatsinks, and V0-class fire-retardant ABS PC moulded covers. For practical handling, it includes side handles, four heavy-duty feet for stability, and IP20-rated protection. Its sleek black (Carbon) finish adds a professional touch.
Installation is quick and secure thanks to a system of two Omega ¼-turn brackets compatible with standard clamps, supported by eight locking fittings for flexible mounting options. A dedicated safety cable point is also provided. Eurus Profile is designed for use in any orientation and operates in ambient temperatures ranging from -10 °C to 45 °C (14 °F to 113 °F), with a minimum safe usage distance of 2 metres (6.56 ft), making it a versatile and reliable solution for professional lighting applications.
