Ayrton Domino Profile: Outdoor-Ready LED Moving Head Light with HD Gobos, CMY Mixing, and Precise Framing

The Domino Profile is a technological powerhouse that merges extraordinary light output with a full suite of professional features. At its core is a newly developed 1000-watt monochromatic high-efficiency LED emitter, calibrated at 8000 K. The Domino Profile S version delivers a striking metallic white light with a record-setting output of 51,000 lumens at 7000 K when operating steadily. For applications where flawless color accuracy is essential, the Domino Profile TC offers remarkable color rendering with a CRI exceeding 90 and exceptional TM30 values at a 6000 K color temperature. Built on the exceptional optical platform of the Huracán Profile, this luminaire balances resolution, performance, and efficiency. Its optical system, consisting of 13 lenses and a large 178 mm front lens, provides a 10:1 zoom ratio and a range from 6° to 60°, producing a consistently uniform flat beam with crystal-clear high-definition image reproduction. Engineered for extreme environments, Domino Profile is fully resistant to heat, cold, wind, rain, hail, salt fog, sand, and dust—capable of enduring arid deserts, heavy storms, and abrupt weather shifts.

Ayrton incorporated all the weatherproof innovations of the Perseo Profile into this IP65-rated luminaire, maintaining a clean, minimalist design. Its high-efficiency power supply and robust die-cast aluminum frame reduce its visual footprint while ensuring maximum durability. The advanced liquid cooling system, featuring six submersible fans housed outside the weather-sealed enclosure, ensures optimal thermal regulation in any climate. From the factory, Domino Profile comes with a subtractive CMY color mixing system, a variable CTO, and a fixed wheel with six complementary colors. The framing module provides precise control over each shutter blade across the full beam surface. The image system features two wheels with a total of 14 interchangeable HD glass gobos. Meanwhile, the effects section includes two dynamic animation wheels, a multi-layered CMY effects wheel, a monochromatic effects wheel, a 15-blade iris, two frost filters (light and heavy), and two rotating prisms—a circular five-facet and a linear four-facet. Domino Profile is truly The Master of the Elements, built to perform flawlessly in the harshest conditions.

The optical system is based on a 13-element high-resolution design with a zoom range from 6° to 60°, utilizing tempered, anti-reflective lenses and a 178 mm front lens for high-efficiency output. The Domino Profile S model features a powerful 75,000-lumen, 8000 K white light engine, producing up to 51,000 lumens at a 7000 K output with a CRI over 70. The TC version uses a 56,000-lumen, 7000 K engine for a softer 6500 K output and a higher CRI over 90. Both variants support flicker-free operation, making them suitable for broadcast and video production, and offer a long rated life of up to 40,000 hours (L70).

Precision movement is made possible by high-resolution stepper motors, providing ultra-smooth 540° pan and 263° tilt operation, with 8- or 16-bit resolution control and automatic repositioning. The color system includes CMY color mixing, a variable CTO, six fixed colors, and two filters optimized for CRI and TM30 performance. Two rotating gobo wheels, each with seven high-precision glass gobos, support bi-directional rotation and indexing, with gobos sized at 30 mm in diameter and 25 mm image size.

The framing system offers four fully positionable shutters that cover 100% of the surface area, with a ±60° rotation module. The iris diaphragm allows dynamic adjustment from 15% to 100% open. Frost effects are delivered through two separate filters for light and heavy diffusion. For dynamic visual effects, Domino Profile offers two rotating animation wheels—one for black & white and one for color effects—with continuous bi-directional rotation, as well as two rotating prisms (five-facet circular and four-facet linear). A smooth electronic dimmer delivers seamless fades from 0 to 100% without altering color temperature, and the adjustable strobe function offers flash speeds from 1 to 25 Hz.

The onboard software includes local and remote DMX addressing via LCD control panel or RDM-compatible controller, with diagnostic readouts for runtime, temperature, and software version. Hardware features include a graphic LCD display with flip functionality, five control buttons, thermal protection, and integrated wireless CRMX TiMo™ RDM from LumenRadio™. Domino Profile is available in two IP-rated configurations: IP65, with XLR and RJ45 connectors, and IP66, featuring sealed cable tails for power, DMX, and Ethernet connections.

Control protocols include DMX512, ArtNet™, sACN, and RDM, with operation supported via cable or integrated wireless. The system supports stand-alone and Master/Slave modes and offers three DMX channel modes (44 to 66 channels). The power supply is an active PFC electronic unit, supporting 120 to 240 V input at 50/60 Hz, with a maximum power consumption of 1,800 watts.

The cooling system uses a state-of-the-art liquid loop with IP68 variable-speed fans, featuring selectable modes including a new ultra-quiet Silent Mode. Thermal safeguards are built in to protect the unit during extreme temperature fluctuations. The rugged housing consists of die-cast aluminum for the base and moving head, with aluminum and copper heatsinks and molded covers. Dual side handles and heavy-duty feet improve transport and stability. The exterior finish is carbon black, and the unit is rated IP65 for all-weather protection.

Domino Profile is designed for flexible installation with two Omega ¼-turn bracket systems, eight locking points for secure mounting, and a dedicated safety cable attachment point. It operates in all positions—on the ground or rigged—and is built to function in temperatures ranging from -20 °C to 45 °C, with a minimum safe usage distance of 3 meters.
