The Ayrton Diablo Profile is a versatile and feature-rich 300 W profile luminaire built on the ultra-compact Mistral format. Designed to be the smallest, lightest, and most efficient luminaire in its class, Diablo Profile delivers a record output of 19,000 lumens while weighing just 21.8 kg. To achieve this performance in a compact form, Ayrton engineered a miniaturized yet powerful framing system and equipped the fixture with a new ultra-compact high-output 550 W power supply. This enables operation of eight additional motors dedicated to the framing section. Like other luminaires in the Ayrton profile range, Diablo Profile offers precise control over four shutter blades across 100% of the beam area, allowing perfect framing of objects from any angle. It also features a proprietary 13-element optical system with a 7.5:1 zoom ratio and a zoom range from 7° to 53°, delivering a consistently flat and uniform beam via a 119 mm front lens.
Diablo Profile comes in two versions tailored to different lighting needs. The S version is ideal for stage applications and is equipped with a monochromatic LED light source that delivers intense metallic white light calibrated at 7000 K. The TC version is designed for applications requiring highly accurate color rendering. It uses a monochromatic light source with a native color rendering index above 90, high TM30 values, and a color temperature of 6000 K. Both versions offer long-lasting performance with a rated life of up to 40,000 hours and flicker-free operation suitable for TV and video production.
Color capabilities include a sophisticated CMY mixing system, a progressive CTO module, and a fixed color wheel with seven complementary colors, enabling a broad range of vibrant pastels and deep saturated hues. The effects section is equally advanced, featuring a rotating gobo wheel with seven interchangeable high-definition glass gobos, a dynamic effects wheel, a 15-blade iris diaphragm, a heavy frost filter, and a five-facet rotating prism. Diablo Profile’s powerful feature set is supported by a highly efficient phase-change liquid cooling system with heat pipe technology and an ultra-silent ventilation mode optimized for studio and theatre environments.
Precision movement is enabled by high-resolution stepper motors and microprocessor control, offering smooth and accurate pan (540°) and tilt (263°) with automatic repositioning. The framing system supports individual blade positioning and a ±45° rotation of the framing module, allowing intricate shaping of the light beam. The fixture includes a fast iris diaphragm, adjustable from 15% to 100%, and offers additional flexibility through light and heavy frost filters.
Diablo Profile supports detailed control through DMX 512, RDM, stand-alone, and master/slave modes, with a choice of three DMX channel configurations (34 to 56 channels). Onboard software features include local and remote DMX addressing, an information menu displaying operational data, and a graphic LCD control panel with flip functionality and a jog wheel for easy navigation. Hardware connectivity includes XLR 5-pin DMX connectors and powerCON TRUE1 connectors. Wireless DMX control is enabled via an integrated CRMX TiMo RDM receiver by LumenRadio.
The fixture’s housing is constructed from a combination of aluminium and steel, with die-cast aluminium bases, aluminium and copper heatsinks, and molded V0-rated fire-retardant ABS PC covers. Designed for durability and stability, it features two side handles for transport and four heavy-duty feet. The IP20-rated housing has a black carbon exterior finish.
Installation is made easy with two Omega ¼ turn brackets compatible with standard clamps and four ¼ turn locking fittings. The unit includes a dedicated attachment point for a safety cable. Diablo Profile operates in any position, with a maximum ambient temperature of 45 °C, a minimum of -10 °C, and a required minimum usage distance of 1.5 meters.
