Available in 2x2 and 2x4 recessed configurations, TrayFit is engineered to integrate seamlessly with Armstrong’s DynaMax Suspension Systems. DynaMax is a robust, oversized aluminum structural grid system designed to accommodate heavy cable trays while optimizing the limited plenum space. With a low-profile depth of only 2 3/8 inches, TrayFit fits neatly into the grid, helping maximize clearance in dense ceiling infrastructures.

This lighting method distributes light uniformly across the entire lens surface, providing an efficient, comfortable, and visually balanced lighting experience. Unlike traditional fixtures that can create hotspots or glare, Edgelit delivers smooth, glare-free illumination ideal for functional environments.
The TrayFit system is compatible with a variety of control and driver options for optimal flexibility. These include the Lutron LDE1 Hi-lume 1% EcoSystem with Soft-on, Fade-to-Black functionality, DALI, DMX, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) drivers, along with wireless sensor-compatible solutions such as Xitanium SR, MOLEX, IGOR, and SMARTENGINE. TrayFit also offers support for integral or remote drivers certified to UL2108, as well as optional integral emergency battery packs or emergency circuit configurations. It operates on input voltages of 120V, 277V, 347V, or universal voltage (UNV), including DC.
The TrayFit LED panel delivers exceptional color rendering with a CRI of 80 or 90, and supports fixed color temperature options of 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, or 4000K. Color consistency is maintained within a 3-step MacAdam ellipse, ensuring uniformity both within a single fixture and across multiple units. Its LEDs offer a minimum lifespan of 50,000 hours with at least 85% lumen maintenance at 25°C, tested in accordance with IES LM-80 standards. Thermal performance is enhanced by an aluminum housing that acts as an efficient heat sink to prolong the system’s life.
TrayFit’s construction is built for durability and reliability in commercial environments. The housing is made from die-formed cold rolled sheet steel (22 gauge), with an extruded aluminum door frame for added structural integrity. The optical system includes a 0.157-inch PMMA light guide and a satin-blend PMMA lens, supported by high-reflectance post-painted white reflectors. Hold-down clips provide secure luminaire support during installation.
This high-performance fixture meets rigorous safety and compliance standards, including UL and CSA certifications. It is also Chicago Plenum Certified (CCEA), meets NYC code requirements, and is rated for insulated ceilings (IC Rated). TrayFit is suitable for both dry and damp locations with operational ambient temperatures ranging from 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F), making it a reliable and energy-efficient lighting solution for specialized applications.
