Shift is an architectural wall lamp designed by Marco Piva that combines powerful performance with a minimalist, contemporary aesthetic. The neutral finishes—matte black, matte white, extra-matte champagne, and the new natural brown—enhance its ability to blend harmoniously with its surroundings, ensuring the lamp remains elegant and understated while emphasizing its architectural presence.
The design of Shift draws inspiration from the clean, rigorous lines of modern architecture, softened by subtly rounded corners that add a refined touch. Its entirely black internal structure optimizes the LED source, amplifying the luminous output while preventing unwanted shadows on walls. In its Large version, Shift delivers over 5,000 lumens, ensuring uniform light distribution and high-quality performance. The LED placement is carefully considered to maximize the beam’s effectiveness, producing bright, controlled light that interacts dynamically with the surrounding environment.
Crafted from aluminium, Shift is available in two sizes, Small and Large, and includes two interchangeable screens to adjust the light’s angle and perception. It comes pre-assembled with a transparent screen, which can be easily replaced with a sandblasted screen to achieve a softer, more diffused effect and reduce light projection onto the ceiling. These options make Shift versatile for both targeted and ambient lighting applications.
Thanks to its high luminous output and precise beam control, Shift is capable of illuminating medium-sized spaces independently, making it suitable for residential living rooms, hotel bedrooms, stairwells, corridors, and rooms with low ceilings or exposed beams that require careful highlighting.
