The sQuad-8 is a stylish, wall-mounted square luminaire designed for downlight or up/down sconce applications, offering both aesthetic appeal and high-performance lighting. This geometric fixture is available in durable aluminum or brass construction and includes an RGBW option that integrates seamlessly with ZDClink® systems for advanced zoning, dimming, and color-changing capabilities.
Designed for surface-mount installation, the sQuad-8 delivers a wide lumen range from 173 to 1,714 lumens and operates at power levels from 4.4 to 12.2 watts, depending on configuration. It supports input voltages of 10–15 Vac/dc for white light and 11–15 Vac/dc for RGBW models, with a fully integrated driver. For thermal performance and longevity, the fixture incorporates CoolDrive™ technology for onboard thermal monitoring and control, ensuring long life with reported ratings of over 72,000 hours for white LEDs and over 55,000 hours for RGBW models (L70, B10, TM21).
Lighting control is flexible and precise with compatibility for Luxor® technology. The ZDClink Controller allows users to zone luminaires into up to 250 groups, dim each group in 1% increments, and access over 30,000 color options using RGBW LEDs. Fixtures can be ordered with zoning/dimming (ZD) or zoning/dimming/color (ZDC) functionality, and all standard models are zoneable by default.
The fixture’s physical construction features a robust die-cast brass or aluminum housing and shroud, secured with stainless steel mounting brackets, setscrews, and tamper-resistant hardware. It comes in a variety of finishes, including natural metal, antique bronze (brushed), and antique tumbled, as well as weather-resistant powder-coat options. These finishes are designed to withstand harsh outdoor conditions and meet ASTM testing standards.
For optical precision, the white LED versions of the sQuad-8 offer multiple field-serviceable beam angles: Spot (20°), Flood (35°), and Wide Flood (60°), with an optional Narrow Spot (10°) achievable by removing the lens on site. RGBW models feature a fixed beam angle. All versions include a full cutoff shield for glare control, OptiClear™ tempered glass lenses for superior optical clarity and durability, and transparency options—clear for white, and frosted for RGBW.
Additional technical features include fixed-position adjustability, 18 AWG wiring with a 10' (3 m) lead, and MicroAntileach™ socket technology to prevent moisture intrusion. The fixture operates in ambient temperatures ranging from 0°F to 140°F (-18°C to 60°C) and is rated IP66/67 for performance in dry, damp, or wet environments.
The sQuad-8 is compliant with International Dark-Sky Association recommendations when configured with a light source of 3,000K or lower. A Wildlife Lighting Certified option (3LEDT) is also available, meeting standards set by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Certifications include UL 1838, CSA C22.2 No. 250.7, IEC 60598-1 and 60598-2-4, FCC Part 15 Subpart B, ISED Canada ICES-005, and multiple EN standards for safety and electromagnetic compatibility.
