For general area and surface illumination such as public squares and parking lots, an asymmetrical light distribution is ideal. Streets and traffic zones benefit from an asymmetrical flat beam light distribution, meeting the standards of EN 13201. For pedestrian safety, a dedicated asymmetrical distribution for crosswalks complies with DIN 67523-1, enhancing visibility and safety.
To support environmental sustainability, these luminaires are optionally available with BEGA BugSaver® technology. This feature enables the user to switch the color temperature from the standard 3000 Kelvin to an amber tone resembling 1800 Kelvin, significantly reducing the blue light component. This helps to protect nocturnal animals and insects by minimizing disruptive light pollution, making the luminaires suitable for use in or near natural ecosystems.
