The NANO E is a groundbreaking advancement in compact aviation lighting, specifically engineered for experimental aircraft that demand high performance in minimal space. Representing the smallest and most streamlined lighting solution from AeroLEDs to date, the NANO E delivers exceptional functionality without compromising power, visibility, or aerodynamic efficiency.

Despite its ultra-compact form factor, the NANO E offers up to three critical lighting functions that significantly enhance flight safety and aircraft recognition. The red and green position lights provide directional navigation cues essential for maintaining visual orientation in the air and on the ground. Integrated anti-collision strobe functionality emits powerful, high-intensity flashes that boost aircraft visibility during both day and night operations, improving safety in congested or low-visibility environments. Additionally, an optional rear-facing white position light is available, offering an extra layer of recognition from behind to support increased situational awareness, especially during formation flying or in busy airspace.

Aerodynamically shaped with a low-drag profile, the NANO E is built for simple, clean installation on a wide variety of experimental aircraft. It is compatible with both 14V and 28V electrical systems, giving aircraft builders and owners the flexibility to integrate it into diverse platforms. The light comes equipped with internal mounting brackets, making it ideal for aircraft with removable wingtips or easy internal access points. For configurations requiring external placement, optional external mounting brackets are available separately, allowing for full customization based on the aircraft's design.

Weighing just 1.8 ounces and measuring only 3 inches in length, 1 inch in width, and 0.89 inches in depth, the NANO E is compact yet powerful. It is designed to minimize both installation footprint and aerodynamic drag while delivering maximum lighting performance. At 14VDC, the anti-collision light draws an average of 0.7 amps (peaking at 2.6 amps), with the position light consuming 0.8 amps. At 28VDC, the anti-collision function averages 0.5 amps with a 1.8 amp peak, while the position light maintains the same 0.8 amp draw.
