Its round shape, complemented by a bevelled, high-gloss polished edge, harmonizes beautifully with the circular details found on the luminaire’s joints. The housing is crafted from glass and milled anodised aluminium, while the arm is made of extruded anodised aluminium, and the lower parts feature anodised and chromed steel. The Sparrow is designed to be rotatable and adjustable, with flexibility in both the arms and the luminaire housing to suit various workspace needs.
Despite its modest luminaire power of 7 watts, Sparrow delivers a high luminous efficacy that meets the demanding requirements of modern workplaces without compromising on the benefits of light therapy. The lamp features a stepless dimmer, accessible via a “touchdim” control located on the top of the luminaire housing. Adding to its intelligence, a discreetly integrated presence and absence detection sensor beneath the housing ensures that the light only illuminates the work area when it is in use, enhancing energy efficiency.
For secure and stylish placement, Sparrow offers a stable table mount designed for fixed installation. This makes it a reliable choice for workplaces and public spaces, combining both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The luminaire housing is composed of milled anodised aluminium with a glass top side, the arm is extruded anodised aluminium, and the foot plate, table clamp, or grommet accessory is finished in anodised and chromed steel. Installation involves assembling the luminaire stand, sold separately, with the chosen mounting accessories.
The lamp connects via a 2-meter transparent halogen-free cable with a plug-in driver compatible with standard sockets. Its LED light source, a Lumileds Luxeon 3020, emits warm white light at 3000K with a color rendering index (CRI) of 90 and a chromaticity tolerance of 3 SDCM, providing high-quality, consistent illumination. The LED boasts a lifespan of 50,000 hours (L70), making the Sparrow both durable and energy-efficient. The product holds an energy efficiency classification of F under EU regulation 2019/2015.
Light is emitted through individual reflectors for each diode, resulting in a symmetrical distribution pattern. Both the luminaire housing and stand are adjustable, allowing users to achieve an even light spread tailored to their workspace. The lamp’s light regulation offers smooth dimming from 0 to 100% and on/off control via the touchdim interface. Notably, programmed light levels are preserved even after power interruptions. Integrated within the housing is a PIR presence detector with a 60-degree detection angle and a 2-meter range. The sensor automatically switches off the lamp two hours after the last detection of presence but will reactivate upon new movement. If the lamp is manually turned off, the sensor is deactivated.
Meeting the international standards for interior work lighting, EN 12464-1, the Sparrow Table lamp ensures an illuminance of at least 500 lux on the work surface. It is available in two classic finishes: White RAL 9016 and Black RAL 9011, both with a gloss level of 20, providing a sleek and professional appearance suitable for any modern office or workspace.
