The dAxis-7 is a precision-engineered directional LED luminaire designed for upward lighting applications in architectural and landscape settings. Offering configurations in 3, 6, or 9 LEDs, it features a 45º or 60º glare-control shield to shape light effectively and enhance visual comfort. The fixture is available in standard white light or in an RGBW version compatible with Luxor® ZDClink® controllers for advanced zoning, dimming, and dynamic color capabilities.
This high-performance luminaire operates at input voltages of 10–15 Vac/dc for white configurations and 11–15 Vac/dc for RGBW versions, requiring a remote transformer. It supports a power consumption range of 4.4 to 12.2 watts depending on the configuration, with all values representing full apparent power. Featuring an integral driver and advanced CoolDrive™ thermal management, the dAxis-7 ensures optimal performance and longevity. The white LED versions use Lumileds® technology and are rated for over 72,000 hours of life (L70, B10, TM21 reported), while RGBW versions employ Cree® LEDs with a lifespan of over 55,000 hours.
When used with the ZDClink® Controller, the dAxis-7 enables flexible control, allowing luminaires to be zoned into up to 250 groups, dimmed in 1% increments from 0–100%, or set to one of over 30,000 RGBW color options. Beam angle customization is available for white LEDs, with Spot (20°), Flood (35°), and Wide Flood (60°) options. A Narrow Spot (10°) can also be achieved by removing the lens on site. RGBW beam angles are fixed.
The dAxis-7 is constructed with a die-cast A380 aluminum housing and shield, coupled with a die-cast zinc/aluminum alloy knuckle and stainless steel hardware. It is finished with a dual-layer protective coating that includes marine-grade anodization and a polyester TGIC powder coat, ensuring superior durability against harsh outdoor conditions and compliance with ASTM weathering standards.
Installation is supported by the ProAim™ Adjustable Ratcheting Stake (PARS), which features a 10-inch ABS body with tamper-resistant components and allows for 220° of vertical adjustability in 9° increments. The luminaire also includes 10 feet (3 meters) of 18 AWG, high-temperature SPT-1W wiring. It integrates MicroAntileach™ Technology to block moisture ingress and features OptiClear™ tempered glass for enhanced optical clarity and durability.
Engineered for operation in ambient temperatures ranging from 0°F to 140°F (-18°C to 60°C), the dAxis-7 holds an IP65 rating for protection in dry, damp, or wet environments. The housing accommodates 3LED, 6LED, 9LED, or ZDC-L modules and includes standard 1/2"-14 NPSM threading. Certified to UL 1838, CSA C22.2 No. 250.7, and a wide range of international standards including IEC 60598-1, FCC Part 15 Subpart B, and ISED ICES-005, the dAxis-7 meets rigorous performance and safety requirements across global markets.
