Polo™ is a distinctive three-sided luminous fixture that emits light evenly across both horizontal and vertical planes. It features a highly efficient diffuser delivering an impressive 127 lumens per watt, ensuring uniform illumination throughout the space. Combining striking aesthetics with superior performance, Polo™ can serve as the sole light source in a variety of environments, making it a versatile solution for contemporary or traditional settings such as entrances, retail spaces, offices, educational institutions, and places of worship.
Constructed with a robust aluminum and steel body, the fixture is finished with a white powder-coated canopy that complements many design schemes. The suspension system utilizes stainless steel cables, paired with a silver braided power cable for durability and sleek appearance. Polo™ luminaires mount directly over a standard J box (provided by others) in North America, allowing for straightforward installation.
The fixture includes an optional remote emergency lighting system, providing 1.5 hours of illumination (3 hours for EU). This system comprises the inverter module, NiCad batteries, and a remote wall or ceiling-mounted LED charge indicator with a test switch (available for North America only). The maximum allowable distance between the wall or ceiling plate and the luminaire is 15 feet (4.5 meters), and the test switch is designed to fit a single gang box (not supplied).
Drivers for Polo™ are high power factor (HPF) electronic types supporting 120-277V (EU 240V). Depending on the fixture size, drivers may be either remote mounted or integrated into the canopy. Remote mounting supports wire lengths up to 9.5 feet (3 meters) with 18 AWG, 19.5 feet (6 meters) with 16 AWG, and 29.5 feet (9 meters) with 14 AWG wiring, with the requirement that drivers remain accessible after installation.
Polo™ also offers acoustic panels rated at 0.80 NRC, made from 100% recycled polyester fiber (PET) with a thickness of 12mm (0.5 inches). These panels meet ASTM E84-2018 Class A fire safety standards, enhancing sound absorption without compromising design integrity. The diffuser is crafted from high-quality acrylic, ensuring excellent light diffusion and comfort.
This fixture can seamlessly integrate into smart building systems through Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity, supporting advanced lighting controls and energy management. Polo™ delivers lumens and efficacy based on 4000K color temperature with a minimum CRI of 80+, offering vibrant and natural light quality. The fixture achieves an L70 rating of over 50,000 hours at 25°C, ensuring long-lasting performance.
Sensor compatibility is available upon consultation with the factory to tailor the fixture to specific automation needs. Polo™ is damp rated for use in environments with humidity exposure and offers optional seismic bracing kits to meet compliance requirements in seismic zones.
