OOOOH RING reimagines the timeless circular pendant with a refreshing and refined design twist, integrating an innovative louver system that elevates both aesthetics and performance. The profile features a series of elegantly incurved elliptical louvers, creating a soft yet expressive visual signature. These louvers serve more than a decorative purpose—they enhance visual comfort by reducing glare and concealing the harshness of a typically exposed diffuser. Injection-molded and available in five refined finishes, the louvers allow for tailored lighting and design expression: Black provides maximum glare control, White boosts reflectance and performance, while Satin Chrome, Satin Gold, and Satin Champagne introduce a luxurious interior design element.
The fixture body is constructed from precision-engineered aluminum with a durable powder-coated finish. It mounts directly over a junction box (by others), allowing for a clean and seamless ceiling integration. Light is diffused through a high-quality opal polycarbonate diffuser, ensuring soft and even illumination.
For enhanced functionality, OOOOH RING can be specified with an acoustic panel insert that provides both a decorative touch and effective sound absorption. These panels are made from 100% recycled polyester fiber, with a thickness of 12mm (0.5") and an NRC rating of 0.45. They meet ASTM E84-2018 Class A fire rating requirements, ensuring suitability for a wide range of commercial interiors.
The fixture is powered by remote high-power factor (HPF) electronic drivers compatible with 120–277V and 347V systems (EU 240V). Drivers support dimming and are either integrated into the canopy or mounted remotely, depending on the size of the fixture. Recommended maximum wire distances are 40' for 18 AWG, 60' for 16 AWG, and 90' for 14 AWG. Drivers must remain accessible after installation.
A remote emergency lighting option is available, offering 1.5 hours of backup (or 3 hours in EU versions). The system includes an inverter module, NiCad batteries, a remote LED charge indicator, and a test switch that fits a standard single gang box (not supplied), with a maximum separation of 15 feet (4.5 meters) from the fixture.
Performance-wise, OOOOH RING delivers high efficacy with light output measured based on 4000K and CRI 80+. It offers exceptional longevity, with a reported L70 of over 102,000 hours and an estimated L70 of more than 178,000 hours when operated at 900 lumens per foot (3000 lumens per meter). Sensor compatibility is available upon consultation, and the fixture is rated for use in damp locations, making it ideal for a wide range of indoor applications.
