The Acebeam L16 2.0 is an upgraded version of the L16, designed as a long-range tactical flashlight that provides professional users with enhanced performance and greater ease of use. It features an original Luminus SFT-40 LED, delivering a maximum output of 2100 lumens and a beam distance of up to 670 meters. This ensures clear illumination of targets, even in extreme conditions. The USB-C tail switch interface allows for quick scenario switching without the need to replace the tail cap, combining charging and tail switch functionality for easier operation. Additionally, the L16 2.0 supports simultaneous use and charging, offering significant performance improvements over its predecessor, the L16.
The L16 2.0 offers both Cool White (6500K) and Neutral White (5000K) LED options, with two color choices: Black or Green. It features a dual switch design for precise control of every output and is compatible with a pressure switch, making it easier to use during missions. The intuitive grip design ensures a comfortable hold, and the lanyard provides a convenient hands-free carrying option. The quick installation feature allows users to insert the remote switch directly into the USB-C port, eliminating the need to unscrew the tail cap. The flashlight is rechargeable via the USB-C port located on the tail cap. The L16 2.0 offers multiple output levels, including a moonlight mode for 250 hours of runtime, and a turbo mode that delivers 2100 lumens for a maximum beam distance of 670 meters. It also features a peak beam intensity of 112225cd, providing an intense and focused beam even in low-light conditions.
Compared to the L16, the L16 2.0 is brighter, with a maximum output of 2100 lumens versus the L16’s 2000 lumens. It also throws further, reaching 670 meters compared to the L16’s 603 meters. Additionally, the L16 2.0 allows for quicker installation of the remote switch via the USB-C port, whereas the L16 required the tail cap to be replaced to connect the remote switch. The L16 2.0 also includes a lockout feature to prevent accidental activation, simply by pressing and holding the side switch for three seconds to lock or unlock the flashlight.
