SensorWorx has announced the launch of its new digitally addressable lighting control system, designed to deliver sensor-based, time-based, and daylight-based strategies for both single- and multi-zone spaces. Branded with the tagline “SIMPLER!”, the new SensorWorx Digital platform lives up to its promise through streamlined wiring, versatile configuration options, and a room-based time clock architecture that makes advanced control easy to implement.
Unlike traditional systems that rely on rigid bus topologies, SensorWorx digital devices communicate across a topology-free, 3-wire data line connection. This flexible design removes the need for strict wire routing and avoids the pitfalls of CAT-5 based systems, such as incorrect RJ-45 pin-outs, faulty ports, high cable costs, and specialized tool requirements. By using common 18/3 cable along with dependable wire, push, or lever nuts, installers can achieve faster, more reliable setups without added expense.
To further simplify deployment, the system automatically generates default zones, allowing for immediate wiring validation and quick commissioning. For projects requiring more complex layouts, SensorWorx’s push-to-pair method provides an intuitive way to configure multi-zone spaces with minimal effort. For advanced adjustments, the SensorWorx mobile app enables installers to set up zones, scenes, and schedules directly from the ground—eliminating the need for ladders and reducing setup time.
Ben Hahn, President of SensorWorx, explains:
For years, digital lighting control has been the standard for room-based applications needing multi-zone functionality, dimming across multiple locations, time schedules, or scene control. Unfortunately, these benefits often came at the cost of complicated wiring, challenging commissioning, and inflated budgets caused by unnecessary network complexity. Improving on over-engineered and overpriced systems has always been at the core of the SensorWorx brand. Adding a digital platform that is more accessible and user-friendly was the natural next step. Put simply, SensorWorx Digital is simpler.
