I might be posting this in the wrong place.
I’m trying to find a way to have a 1000w pulse start metal halide bulb 150’ from the ballast capacitor and ignitor.
Right now I’m using probe start bulbs. As long as the wire is big enough, I can and have started them with 275’ of 14/2 sjoow power cord between the ballast and bulb with no problem but the life of the of the bulb is too short. If I could just double the life it would be a tremendous upgrade
Would this be possible with a pulse start system?
