The Cedar landscape accent light is an architectural luminaire that offers enhanced output, broader distribution options, additional color temperature selections, and an integral driver, making it a versatile solution for accenting architectural and landscape features. The Cedar 1" model provides 360 delivered lumens, three distribution options, five color temperatures, and a 12V integral driver, supporting applications on ground, wall, tree, sign, or architectural mounts. Its design allows for field-updatable optics, enabling tailored beam control for a variety of environments and use cases. With high CRI options of 80 or 90, the Cedar delivers consistent color rendering and quality light output, maintaining performance within 3 MacAdam ellipses.
The luminaire employs proprietary high-output LEDs, offering near-constant light output when supplied with 11VAC–14VAC to mitigate voltage drop. Optical distributions include Flood, Narrow Flood, and Spot, with beam angles available at 15°, 25°, and 40°. Lens options include FLC cut from heat-strengthened borosilicate glass for maximum clarity and strength, or WSL molded borosilicate glass, flush with the top of the door to encourage water shedding in wet locations. The Cedar is suitable for wet locations and IP66-rated, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor installations requiring durability against moisture and environmental exposure.
Constructed from cast 356-T6 aluminum for the body and cap, with the knuckle machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, and an optional BR version machined from 360 brass, the Cedar combines strength with corrosion resistance. The luminaire is available with super-durable polyester TGIC powder coat finishes or three standard brass finishes. Its tapered “Sure Lock” knuckle seat allows infinite aiming with exceptional locking stability, and mounting options include knuckle, pole mount, and surface installations. The KM knuckle variant supports tilting up to 180°, while the 350R variant allows tilt up to 180° with rotation up to 350°, providing flexibility in targeting light precisely where needed. Each fixture comes with 48 inches of 18AWG connection wire for installation.
Lighting control is facilitated via 12VAC with dimming through a remote magnetic transformer, allowing integration with standard low-voltage magnetic dimmers to adjust light levels as needed for pathways, gardens, signage, and architectural accents. The Cedar has been tested to cCSAus standards and UL requirements, including UL-1598, UL-8750, and UL-1838, ensuring safety and compliance. Its robust construction, field-updatable optics, and flexible control options make it ideal for wet-location accent lighting applications.
The Cedar also meets U.S. government procurement requirements, qualifying as a domestic end product under the Buy American Act (BAA) and as a product manufactured in the United States under DOT Buy America regulations. It additionally complies with the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA), confirming its suitability for federally funded and domestic projects that require high-quality, durable accent lighting solutions.
