The Block (BLK) C1 Series LED Luminaire is engineered for use in demanding environments where exposure to moisture, dust, corrosion, and vibration is common. It excels in outdoor and industrial settings that experience wind, water, snow, or high ambient temperatures. Designed with safety and durability in mind, the BLK C1 Series is also certified for use in hazardous locations where flammable vapors, gases, or combustible dusts may be present, in compliance with IECEx standards. It is an ideal lighting solution for retrofitting existing HPS or MH systems, offering higher luminous efficacy for substantial energy savings, reduced maintenance costs, and faster return on investment.
This versatile luminaire is suited for a range of high-risk and industrial applications, including marine transportation, logistics, oil and gas facilities, power generation plants, water and wastewater treatment plants, and general area or floodlighting needs. The BLK C1 Series holds robust protection ratings, being certified for use in IECEx Zone 1 & 2 for gas, and Zone 21 & 22 for dust. Its hazardous area ratings include Ex db IIB T6 Gb for gases and Ex tb IIIC T85°C Db for dust, with a certified operating ambient temperature range from -25°C to +50°C.
The luminaire’s thermal performance is optimized by a self-contained LED and driver chamber paired with external air-flow fins, which enhance heat dissipation and support an extended lifespan of up to 420,000 hours at 50°C (L70). Electrical integrity is ensured through its built-in wiring compartment, which includes two NPT ¾" entries and a quick-access WAGO 5-pole lever connector. This design allows for quick and secure wire-in/wire-out installation using supply wires ranging from 1mm² to 4mm² rated at 90°C.
BLK C1 is available in three power ratings—80W, 100W, and 150W—with respective input currents of 0.404A, 0.505A, and 0.758A at 220V AC. The fixture operates at 100-240V AC, 50/60Hz, with a power factor of ≥0.90 and total harmonic distortion (THD) below 20%. It incorporates surge protection rated at 4KV (L/N-FG) and 2KV (L-N). Depending on the model, lumen outputs range from 10,288 lm to 18,646 lm, with an efficacy of 130 lm/W. Available optical distributions include narrow 25°, medium 60°, and wide 120° beam angles to suit a variety of lighting tasks. The luminaire offers correlated color temperatures (CCT) of 4000K or 5700K and a color rendering index (CRI) greater than 70.
Engineered for harsh environments, the housing is made of marine-grade aluminum, complemented by 316 stainless steel hardware and a tempered glass lens. The BLK C1 Series supports yoke and stanchion mounting options to adapt to various installation configurations. Additionally, it is tested for EPA wind ratings of 1.715 ft² / 0.160 m² (yoke) and 1.735 ft² / 0.161 m² (stanchion), ensuring reliable operation in outdoor and elevated applications.
